This morning leaving the house to go grocery shopping, an angel nudge encouraged me to grab my camera. As I was waiting for Elliot by the car, I almost missed a precious sight in the butterfly garden. A little brown bunny, camouflaged in the mulch, surprised me, popping up like the focus on a 5-D picture. Suddenly my vision had expanded, and I could see more clearly what was presently in view. Taken aback by my shift in perception, I wondered how long that bright-eyed gentle creature had been present, munching down on a birdseed breakfast.
According to the book Animal Messengers, when a rabbit hops into your life, it means fertility--expansion. A reminder to expand your human essence and open yourself up to divine impulses and let them multiply. When spring comes and the sun awakens the Earth, rabbit perpetuates new life. The rabbit turns light into life. This is what it means to encounter a rabbit. Let moments full of light expand, spreading joy and happiness. Questions to ask yourself: Are you ready to let light into your life, to radiate joy and happiness and thereby to courageously support the expansion of your being?
Let light into your life...that's been my focus since my birthday this spring. Let there be light!
We may not be able to change the world, but we can change the way we see the world. God's Angels are here to help us expand our consciousness, bringing more light into the picture and broadening our awareness of what is truly present. Just like the bunny...he was there all the time...but I couldn't see him because I didn't expect to. Love is always present...and with divine help, we can express that love by shining our light with a little willingness. The Holy Spirit will gladly take our dark secrets that block the light and gladly exchange them for Light.
