Are you feeling stuck lately? Caught in the middle, doing the same thing over and over again...unable to break out of an old rut.
Nature is a great teacher. Early this morning the lesson STUCK appeared at dawn. A little treefrog got trapped in the mouth of our house-cat. I grabbed a broom, fur flying as I swung the the bristles, sweeping Hei-Hei round and round the back porch. Not the most peaceful way to start a new day. Winded during the wild chase, I wondered about my loyalty? I was all fired up on rescuing a defenseless little frog who came in during a rainstorm last night. But finally, the gray tabby cowered, surrendering his prey who leapt away.
With the cat safely inside the house, the search for the little frog began. B-O-I-N-G. he sprang out of the shadows along the damp concrete floor, making great leaps. Gently ushered along by my broom, we were making progress... but he vanished near the back door.
With Elliot's help, I found him. Big pitiful eyes looked at me. The green tree frog was trapped in the corner of the back door. A narrow track with little room to move. An extenuating set of circumstances, wedged between the inner screen and the outer plexiglass panel required extra help.
I could see how he was caught in the middle--neither here nor there. STUCK!
BOING! BOING! He tried his best, but kept on sliding back down the plexiglass.
Elliot unscrewed the panel just wide enough for a break-out...but cooperation was needed. He had to take a leap of faith. A gentle whisk with my broom, BOING. Little green arms and legs sprang out the door to great freedom. I could almost hear, Hooray!
To make sure I got the teaching, an angel thought guided me to a talk on-line by Fr. Cedric: You don't have to stay stuck. He said, God doesn't want us to be stuck. We can be stuck in different ways: anger, bad habit, addiction, relationship issues...We need help to get unstuck. The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again expecting different results. With God's help, and your cooperation, you can achieve freedom through the grace of God, but the first step is asking for help, surrendering the problem, and cooperating with the guidance.
I am thankful for the reminder to F.R.O.G it. Fully Rely on God (acronym). When we listen for direction from the angels, and make a change...we began to move forward in victory...
Love and peace,
Rae Karen
