A Crack in the Sidewalk - An Angel Message

If you've never been thrilled to
the very edge of your soul
by a flower in spring bloom,
maybe your soul has never been in
bloom.
                              AUDRA FOVEO

Every flower is special in its own way.  Angels often speak in the language of flowers, at least that's how messages often show up in my life.  Even a crack in the sidewalk can be helpful in fulfilling a purpose; as demonstrated by one of my favorite free-spirited flowers, the purple Spiderwort.  When I looked out the front door this morning, what a surprise. There it was blooming on the sidewalk. I hadn't noticed it before.

The lawn service had come on Saturday, but the angels had protected this little volunteer plant. The Angel of the Spiderwort seemed to be saying: Against all odds, I did it!  I found a way when it appeared there wasn't one. Now, look at me! I deserve to be regarded. (How could I miss it, in the middle of the front walk?)  Another sign, that God is the mystery, the substance of all Life.

So, isn't it comforting to know that even in chaos, there is perfection.  The need to keep everything perfectly under control can restrict spontaneity and creativity.  A break in the pattern can be purposeful, creating space to blossom.

Enjoy your day with the Angels.

Amaryllis: An Angel Message

(A surprise in the garden 4/2/14)

Yesterday morning while watering the garden I had a pleasant surprise from nature.  A flower had bloomed that seemed oddly out of place; one not planted by me.  At first I thought it was a lily, but then closer inspection revealed an amaryllis!  Typically a flower mostly related to Christmas, it had surfaced in an appropriate place by the poinsettias.  Maybe the little gnome beside it had been working overtime.

It was one of those instances, where upon first sight, you recognize that there is more going on than meets the physical eye.  A warm feeling spread over me that the garden was doing just fine in spite of the recent upset. (see previous blog).  Curious, I looked for the symbolism, and found that in the Victorian Age the interpretation for an amaryllis was success after a struggle.  It's also a flower that represents a job well done.  When given to an artist, it's a way of encouraging creativity.

So, if you're reading this, take heart that your efforts are appreciated and when you least expect it, you will benefit from the blossoms of a job well done.

Enjoy your day with the Angels.

Love and blessings,

Teach Only Love: An Angel Message

Oh my, every day I get many opportunities to choose peace instead of chaos.  A peace pole stands in the meditation garden as a sign to keep the peace. Our angel of the garden statue stands with hands folded praying unceasingly.

Some tests are both unexpected and extreme. I'm learning that all events are designed for my own good. Each one presents an opportunity to choose peace.  I may not get there at first thought, but that's all part of the learning.  My next door neighbor began felling his trees.  His over determination to take control of his life was a trait I've recognized at times in myself.  Soon he will be unemployed and is hoping to plant a vegetable garden in his shady backyard woods.  How painful to watch him tackle a large tree with his little hand saw that eventually got stuck.

I prayed for the highest good of all, asking for the release of the tree spirit.  A friend of his showed up with a chain saw.  I tried to remain calm, not looking out the window, too distressed to watch.

A loud CRACK! I hurried to the window, the felled tree landed on another tree and it collapsed over the fence and into our yard.

Our Easter lilies, flowers and Mother Mary statue were buried in the leafy mass that covered the corner of our yard.

All the loving energy over the two years, I'd spent co-creating with nature in the garden was suddenly in chaos.  I wish I could say I didn't lose my peace.  It was strange as I had a peaceful inner acceptance of "what is" in that moment.  Then my ego's sense of injustice prevailed.  I marched outside to talk to him about boundaries.  I let off a little steam, but my lovable stray tabby clung to my furry slippers, reminding me of love.  Teach only love and soon my anger gave way to compassion, and my neighbor and I parted in peace.

Following Your Heart

                                  (Photo: Wikimedia Commons)

I stumbled upon this quote by Rudyard Kipling in a 1923 spiritual journal.  He said it on the occasion of his installation as rector of St. Andrew's University, Scotland.

After all, you, yourself, are the only person
you can by no possibility get away from in
this life and maybe not in another...
Be good to him.
Let your counsel be your heart,
for there is no man more faithful to thee than it.
For a man's mind is wont to show him more then
the seven watchmen who sit above a high tower.

Enjoy your day with the Angels, and listen deep within your heart of hearts to find the joy in your life.  Wonderful things are happening...

InkJoy! An Angel Message

Waiting in line at the Dollar Tree store, I already had a pack of pens in my basket when I saw more pens on display. These were extra special though. The words InkJoy seemed to shout for my attention. I loved the idea, writing with joy ink, and it seemed like the perfect mate for my joy journal. (above)   The angels were no doubt at work.  Whatever we do, do it with love and joy.

Enjoy your day with the Angels.

Singing in the Rain: A Message from a Sparrow

(Our new angel statue by the fireplace)

Yesterday in the downpour, I heard a sweet song.  When I looked out the window, a little sparrow had perched on the back of the lawn chair singing with all his heart.  Rain could not hold back his joy.  We thanked him for his cheerful blessing.  His visit seemed to coincide with a recent find, the angel shown above, holding a bird.  Elliot and I both got that she was the Angel of Protection; how God looks after the birds of the field, so how much greater is His care for us.

The song I heard this morning came on wings of its own.  An old favorite, His Eye is on the Sparrow.  I thought of that little bird singing in the rain as the familiar lyrics came to mind.  "I sing because I'm happy. I sing because I'm free. For His eye is on the sparrow and I know He watches me."

Enjoy your day with the Angels.

Ascension Energies

                                (Artwork:  Wikimedia Commons Images)

If you're not feeling like yourself and wondering what's going on, it's not just you.  We are all in this together.  A spiritual acceleration.  Since last fall, the energies are intensifying from solar flare activity.  Some symptoms reported are dizziness, fatigue, slurred speech, a feeling of walking under water or in quicksand, difficulty putting two words together, (thought gaps) as well as flu-like aches.  The intensity of the squeezing and pressing energies make it hard to function at times.

The good news is that we are in the process of transformation.  It's not always fun, but the results will be rewarding if we persevere in gratitude.  The universe is conspiring on our behalf, helping us to heal.

For clues as to how well you're doing, pay attention to what is going on around you.  For instance, all last week, I watched my neighbor treat her burned out lawn (how I've been feeling lately).  Most of the days, she was out there bent over, diligently weeding out the dead grass; saving what was still good, and working in the new green sod, a handful at a time.  It was tedious work, but she had a goal in mind and so she lovingly stayed with it.  I thought of an old Talmudic saying:  Every blade of grass has its angel whispering, Grow! Grow! Grow!

And so it is with us; we are casting out what no longer works, and getting prepared for a new dispensation.  It's an exciting time.  Synchronicity is happening at a faster rate so its important to monitor our thoughts.  Replaying the past and pondering why things didn't turn out as expected will only delay the new.  The now is all there is, and when we remember that eternity is the absence of time, everything comes together in the immediacy of the present.

The angels are here to help us during this time of acceleration. Angels are God's messengers of Love that come to us as pure intuition. Pausing throughout the day to go within, and listen is key.  Time spent in meditation and also in nature is healing and accelerating our spiritual growth.  Also drinking lots of water helps the process.

The angels guard and guide as we allow their presence to help us put off the old and put on the new.  So whatever form the "stress" make take, it is a blessing; squeezing out the old, and clearing way for our new light bodies.

Enjoy your day with the Angels.   Wonderful things are happening...

Love and blessings,

Karen

Live One Day at a Time

This morning a little red cardinal brightened the grey dawn as it perched on our neighbor's roof.  The cardinal reflects lessons in developing and accepting a new sense of our own true self-importance.  When one shows up it is a message to add color to your life and remember that everything you do is of importance.

This garden plaque illumined in the sunlight is a perfect prescription for happiness.  LIVE--One day at a time.  Each day we choose whom we'll serve, God or ego.

Enjoy your day with the Angels and celebrate YOU the gift to the world.

Love and blessings,

Karen

Angel of Triumph - Reach for the Stars

Reach for the Stars - Artwork Wikimedia Commons

I would like to share something funny that happened with the Angel of Humor yesterday after I'd written in the blog that the definition of humor also means fluids.  Something I just learned.  My AAA travel magazine arrived in the afternoon mail.  To my surprise the featured article was Fluids: 101!  I laughed at the synchronicity, and how life is more juicy when we can see the humor in situations, and keep reaching for the stars.

This morning upon awakening an inner voice said, "These are the in between times."

It made sense as I feel as if  I've stopped half-way up a tall staircase.  Although no longer where I used to be, I'm not yet where I'm supposed to be. There is a need to continue to come up higher one step at a time.

The angels have "our backs" helping us to not fall back into old patterns.  They will guide us with their pure intuition as to where to go and what to do to boost our spiritual energy and keep moving forward.

In my morning meditation, I heard the Angel of Triumph is the angel for today.  I saw the angels standing on edge of a tall precipice reaching down to offer a hand up.  The word triumph means to celebrate victory; the joy of exultation of victory or success.

Enjoy your day with the Angels. And remember that God loves you.

Love and blessings,

Rae Karen

A Frog Rescue: An Angel Message

The angels of nature delivered a message yesterday.  It was a tall straight stick that had a fork prong on the tip. It brought to mind a special rescue many years ago.

While living on a farm out in rural Virginia Beach, I'd found a cute little tree frog trapped inside our large garbage can one evening. He had been waiting near the top, suction fingers stuck on the hall wall of the big container.  I found a short stick on the ground, and told him to hop on it.  I would take him to great freedom. He took a leap, but in the opposite direction and disappeared in a sea of black plastic trash bags.

The sun was going down, and I couldn't just shut the lid on him.  To leave it wide open was an invitation to all kinds of critters. An angel thought came to find a long stick.  I'd asked for their help and soon I had the perfect rescue tool. A tall straight stick with pronged twigs.

Not wanting to crush him, I again asked the angels for support. I stuck the stick down inside the deep trash bin.  To my delight I easily hooked the top plastic bag. Fishing it slowly out, soon it was high enough for me to get a look.

I let out a laugh.  My little treefrog was clinging to that very bag, riding it up like a gentleman on an elevator.  It seemed too easy to be true, but he stayed on.  Carefully I placed the bag by the old walnut tree.  Instead of taking off, he stubbornly clung to the trash bag. Only when gently prodded did he take off on a new adventure.

That little frog was a teacher of mine.  Sometimes we may feel like our life has been trashed; we're stuck with no way out, but the lesson of the treefrog is to do our best to get above our problems.  Expect an answer to come.   F.R.O.G. is an acronym for Fully Rely On God.  But let go of all your old garbage.

Several months later, as you can see, a little tree frog showed up on our front door.  His hands looked like he was praying.  I wondered if it was the same one I helped who had returned to give me a message to Fully Rely on God.

So whatever you may be dealing with, don't lose faith.  Keep thoughts on high.  God is the answer.

An Assignment: Share Angel Messages

The angels need us to be ambassadors of good will and hope.  Their assignment is simple.  Show up and be ready to spread joy, peace, and gratitude.  I had an opportunity to put it into practice today.  I'd been postponing a trip to the Social Security office, like the DMV, the lines can be long and a visit usually involves lots of time and patience.

This morning I decided to change my attitude and go with an expectancy to be helpful.  Rather than making it more my personal agenda, I thought I would try a different approach.  So finding myself open to inspiration, I came across a handful of angel scrolls that I'd made years ago for the angel lectures.  I put them in a little sack in my purse.

When I arrived, the waiting area was packed with people waiting for their number to come up.  With all the available seats taken, I stood by the wall.  The angels prompted me to offer a scroll to two women standing beside me.  They both were happy to receive the Angel of Love; one was a newly wed, married less than two weeks.

Others were interested, and soon more angel scrolls were making the rounds, putting smiles on waiting faces.  There were nods of recognition or laughter at how appropriate their angel virtue scroll was for them.

Some of the angels offered were:  JOY, FORGIVENESS, TENDERNESS, INSPIRATION, LOVE, MUSIC, EXUBERANCE, COMPLETION, TRUST, PATIENCE, and so forth.  The scrolls were made using a label maker software and adding angel clip art.  I roll the little labels into scrolls and fasten them with ribbon. (in case you get inspired to make your own)

Enjoy your day with the Angels.  They so appreciate everything we do to spread the word about them and their loving presence.  Inviting them in wherever we go transforms the atmosphere into divine joy.

Love and blessings,

Karen

Soul Power

                                                            Wikimedia Commons, Someday

Oh soul,
you worry too much.
You have seen your own strength.
You have seen your own beauty.
You have seen your golden wings.
Of anything less,
why do you worry?
You are in truth
the soul. of the soul, of the soul.

Enjoy your day with the angels.

Love and blessings,
