Near Death Experience with Angels

My friend forwarded this wonderful youtube video from Guideposts TV.  Listening to the moving testimony of an orthopedic surgeon who had a near death experience is uplifting and reassuring as she poignantly describes the incredible love she felt and the amazing angels and light beings who ministered to her.

Blessings,

Attention, Please

In need of a blog, the angels guided me to an old journal this morning.  I found these helpful notes taken several years ago from a book, The Law of Life.  My emotional body is riding high these days, so I was thankful for the reminder.

What you think you create.  Where your attention is there you are--and you are becoming that.  What you meditate upon you become.  Attention is power of light in action.  There is no thing that can change your life like attention.  As you connect by your attention to things in the outer world, you make it a part of your world.  Nothing can enter your world but what you invite.  How? By your attention, by discussion.

Whenever you feel not sure, you have allowed your attention to become divided between appearances and the Presence of God.  Your power of attention will reverse energy.  Determine not to allow your attention to go to what is past.

Every time your attention starts to wander, start pouring out love and blessings.

"I know no human appearance has any power except the life energy I feed into it by attention."

You are never bound by conditions.  You are bound by your own feelings.  Watch what feeling is operating in you.  Your world is just as far as your feeling extends.  A powerful charged belief in your feeling world will be there embodiment after embodiment.

Enjoy your day with the angels.

The Morning Glory Angel

This morning I found it odd to be skipping my meditation and going out in the yard instead.  I've found that when angels guide us, we often find ourselves doing things differently and wondering why.  The early morning sun was so wonderful, I just stood in the warmth of its rays.  Afterwards I bent down to do some weeding.  After pulling up one big clump, I was so surprised to find this beautiful little morning glory in bloom.  I almost yanked it up, too.  I'd planted the seeds in early spring, hoping the flowers would scale the fence, but nothing happened.  They were a no show and soon forgotten.

The blue trumpet shaped flower with its heart-shaped leaf seemed to be so deliberate, that I looked up the symbolism in Nature-Speak by Ted Andrews.  Morning glory indicates old ways of doing things no longer work. Break old habits. It's time to embrace new creative fun energy.  Be spontaneous, follow your heart and express yourself.  The flower also reminds us that we will be able to draw upon and use our inner resources with great success in the coming weeks.  A message for each of us.

I am so thankful to the Angels for all their help.  Flowers are so beautiful and bring love to the heart.

Enjoy your day with the Angels,

Karen

God is Only A Prayer Away

I love the serenity of this little garden angel.  This week our Miracles Group was studying the lesson, "I can see peace instead of this." (This meaning whatever the situation or person is that is disturbing you).  I had forgotten all about this lesson and found it most helpful.  Instead of stewing about an unpleasant issue, I can choose to put my energy toward a willingness to see peace.  When I pause long enough to silently say, "I can see peace instead of this," I notice a shift happens in my breathing.  A letting go and letting in of the peace of God.

Enjoy your day with the Angels.

Blessings,

Karen

A Lesson from The Rose of Sharon

The Angels of Nature taught me a powerful lesson on surrendering and letting go.  It happened when I received a beautiful Rose of Sharon bush; a special gift from a friend on Mother's Day.  So tall, green and leafy, with dozens of  pretty pink blossoms, I proudly showcased it in the front yard.  Over the months, it began to show signs of lack.  The leaves sagged from the heat and extra watering and TLC didn't seem to make a difference.

Reluctantly, I dug it up and moved it to the meditation garden in the back yard.  The strong winds and heavy rains came and blew away most of its leaves, until at best, it looked like a Charlie Brown Christmas tree, spindly and frail.  I said a little prayer and then forgot about it.

Then yesterday, I was amazed to see this single blossom opened wide in victory, having come through the "storms."  Later, I discovered a lady bug resting on its leaves, an omen of good luck.

This transformation taught me to have more faith.  Just when I think a situation or something is a lost cause, appearing hopeless, not to despair.  It can suddenly spring back to life in a joyful rebound, for  behind the scenes, a miracle had been in the making unbeknowst to me.

Enjoy your day with the Angels.

A Love Transmission...

The Angels of Nature were "beaming" a message on the air waves yesterday.  With all the recent rain, a heart-shaped vine had made its way up the trellis and onto our neighbor's roof, crowning the top of his satellite dish. I had to smile at the tender reminder to watch what we're putting "out there." Are we broadcasting love or fear?

Enjoy your day with the Angels and stay tuned for their loving presence.

Blessings,

Keeping Our Thoughts On High

Yesterday I worked in the yard creating a new path around the old camphor tree.  It involved moving  some of the garden statues.  This morning when I looked out the window, not sure what to blog about, I saw this little fellow posing in the sunlight on the tip of an angel's wing.  I had to smile, remembering lizard symbolizes detachment from material appearances, and walking by faith not by sight.  Wonderful things are happening and the angels remind us to keep our thoughts On High, open to receiving their divine direction and joy.

Have a wonderful day with your Angels.

The Path to the Light

(Va. Beach Sunrise)

One may not
   reach the dawn
      save by
          the path of night.
                        -Kahlil Gibran

Yesterday this quotation, by one of my favorite poets, turned up on an old notepad.  It seemed like a perfect match with this Virginia Beach sunrise taken years ago.  The angels help to lighten our way in the dark hours of our personal storms.  When I stop and still my restless mind, I feel their loving presence assuring me that all is well. These are times of major shifts but we do "live and move and breathe in an atmosphere of divine love."  The key is to stay above it and not get sucked into the illusion.

Enjoy your day with the angels.

Blessings,

Karen

Iris Fairy

This morning my attention was drawn to a little lizard basking in the warmth of our garden statue, Iris, who sits upon a large iris.  The lizard is associated with dreamtime.  When lizard appears it is time to listen to our own intuition instead of another's.   The lizard has the ability to pick up on the subtlest movements and it can remain still so as to mislead its own prey for protection.  I was thankful this one waited long enough for me to get my camera.

Another characteristic of lizard is an ability to detach its long tail to escape to freedom if predator catches it by tail.   A message that sometimes it is necessary to separate ourselves or part of ourselves from others to be able to do the things we desire to do.  "It may even indicate a need to explore new realms and follow your own impulses before you get swallowed up in what is not beneficial for you."  (Animal-Speak by Ted Andrews)

As for the iris, it is a flower that reminds us to maintain hope for a new birth and new peace will soon be at hand.  Iris was the Greek goddess of the rainbow.  The faeries of this flower manifest in all of the colors of the rainbow.  They stimulate great inspiration.

Enjoy your day with the Angels.

Angel of Gratitude

(Angel at a nearby monastery)

The angelic energy for today is one of gratitude. I love the expression on this angel's face. She seems to be in gratitude for all the Love radiations pouring down upon her.   The angels want us to know that God's will for us is happiness.  We can be happy right now.  It need not be postponed.  Often we catch ourselves believing that we'll be happy when we lose weight, or buy a new car, or get a promotion, or start a new relationship; limiting our capacity to be happy in the moment. These goals are always based on some future event that seems to hold a key to our everlasting happiness.  But more than not, once these ambitions have been achieved, sadly they have not sustained our happiness for very long, and the search continues. (I'm reminded of The Rolling Stones hit song in the 60's, I Can't Get No Satisfaction)

I'm learning that when I choose to still my mind and really listen within, I can find that state of happiness; and it isn't based on anything external.  Happiness is an inside job and it's always with us.  With God being All in All, we have everything to be grateful for, and  every reason to be happy. God put His Spirit in us.  It's already there, we don't have to do anything but accept it.  A great way to open to this gift is through the practice of meditation. With daily times set aside to connect with our Spirit, we begin to experience a shift in our consciousness that flows outwardly and touches every aspect of our lives.

The Light of Divine Love

"The soul at its highest is found like God, but an angel gives a closer idea of Him. That is all an angel is: an idea of God."      Meister Eckhart

Yes, angels, "God's thoughts passing to man," are always present.  They indicate the ever present Christ, shining through all the fears and ills of the world.  Recently I read an inspiring story about Mother Teresa that I'd like to share with you.  When England's television celebrity Malcolm Muggeridge went to India to film Mother Teresa and her sisters caring for the dying in Calcutta, the crew wasn't sure they would be successful because of the poor lighting inside the building and they were not equipped with extra lights.  They almost decided to skip the filming because the footage would be useless.  To everyone's surprise when it was developed, the footage was illuminated by a mysterious light.  Technically speaking, the camera crew couldn't explain the results.

Muggeridge said, "Mother Teresa's Home for the Dying is overflowing with love...One senses this immediately on entering it.  This  love is luminous, like the haloes that artists have seen and made visible round the heads of saints.  I find it not at all surprising that the luminosity should register on photographic film."

Isn't it wonderful to know that no matter how dark the hour, God's holy thoughts can cut through the denseness of fear and the material senses of the ego that attempts to clog the flow of Divine Love.   Perfect love does cast out fear.

Angelic Blessings,

Karen

Angel Messages from the Birds

It's amazing how quickly our thoughts are manifesting these days.  With the acceleration of time and the majestic solar eruption that occurred yesterday, June 23, there is a definite quickening going on.  And, maybe you too have noticed that  the angel messages are coming with more clarity and synchronicity.

Yesterday I found a shiny 2012 quarter in the parking lot at a nearby plaza.  Elliot and I had stopped to get a sandwich, and there it was right on my path.  A bird was pictured on the back-- one of the new state/territorial coins.   Thanking the Angels, (usually I find a penny or a dime) so I knew the quarter was about trusting God with something big that could be coming up.

After lunch we went to the lake.  There was lots of activity as you can see:

A pair of cranes stopped to peck away for a shellfish lunch.  Their two teens had flown the coop, off on their own adventure.  Crane is symbolic of longevity and creativity.  The sandhill red cranes have red on their brows, an indication that our intuition will be getting stronger.

The ducks were making tracks in the sandy beach.   Ducks are a reminder not to let our emotions carry us away, instead let them roll off like water on a duck's back.

I had wanted to take a picture of the osprey, but they were so active, searching for food, hovering above me, I couldn't steady the camera to track him.  Having given up, I put the camera away and just enjoyed the peacefulness in nature.  A short time later, I heard a familiar whistle that became so insistent that I walked out from under the overhang.  To my delight, high in a tree,  I saw this hawk.   I was so excited that somehow I accidentally hit the movie button on the camera and captured his whistle, too. But the images are too shaky to share.

At home, when I downloaded the camera, I saw it was a young eagle, not a hawk!  Seeing his pose,  reminded me of the quarter I'd found.  With a magnifier, I could see that the bird on it was a Puerto Rican parrot behind a plant, but then I was amazed to find a little tree frog called a Coqui also was shown.  Remembering FROG is an acronym for Fully Rely On God, I was so thankful to the angels for the message.

The Golden Eagle (not sure if this is actually one) is symbolic of the New Golden Age. It represents St. John in the Christian tradition. Nostradamus predicted this new Age would begin in 2015.   The eagle is the spiritual sigil for majesty, mastery, and unimpeded progress, victory, splendor, and strength.  All the attributes of our Spirit.  We are spiritual not material beings so not to get fooled by the false perceptions of our five senses.

Enjoy your day with the Angels, listening and watching and enjoying their loving Presence.

Blessings,

Karen

P.S. The parrot is a wise old bird.  With its deafening squawk, it rudely awakens us out of our sleep of complacency and spiritual idleness, and urges us to aim for higher things. (Angel Messages, The Oracle of Birds by Claire Nahmad)
