An Angel Confirmation of Love

It never ceases to amaze me how much we are all connected by golden strands of light that are woven through our moments in the physical.  Yesterday a surprise package came in the mail, the giver anonymous; the gift perfect.  A beautiful angel figurine holding up a bright star, and the sweet words on her gown were so comforting.

Perhaps they are not Stars,
but rather openings
where our
Loved ones
shine down
to let us
know they are
Happy.

Before Mom died I'd softly asked that if she could, to let me know in some way that she was happy and doing fine.  My suggestions at the time were to make a light flicker or a special flower to bloom.  I've had many blessings since she left, but this one really touched my heart because of the synchronicity.  About five years ago Mom had given me an angel for my birth month, May as a birthday present.  It's the smaller one gently holding a butterfly in the picture above.  Somehow all the butterflies I've been experiencing and the star angel seemed to be woven with a touch of heaven, eternal Love.  And both angels were by the same designer, Karen Hahn!

The inscription on my birth birthday angel, a wonderful reminder:

Every year is a new beginning...
every day a gift.

Now these two angels stand side by side on the shelf in my curio cabinet. A promise that  Mom and I are always together, no matter what the appearance may be.

Isn't it wonderful that we are so closely connected with All?  I may never know the angel who sent this but they were a divine messenger. The Oneness of eternity awaits an invitation from us. When we open up, our horizons are widened and new life is breathed into our awareness of Who we truly are, "spiritual beings having a physical experience."

Enjoy your day with the Angels and be the blessing you are yearning for.

Love,

Rae

Canadian Geese - An Angel Message

I know the angels were at work when I found this artwork for Mom's new apartment in Florida. She loved to watch the Canadian geese on the lake from her 4th floor retirement apartment in Virginia. With binoculars, she could see the flock from her recliner and learned about their habits over the 17 years she lived at Ft Belvoir.

Looking at this painting brought back a humorous memory on our last day at her retirement community in Virginia.  I woke up before dawn and heard the geese fly over the guest quarters honking loud in what seemed to be a farewell song. I could heat them splash into the lake, honking  the CLAC CLAC CLOISTERS.

Could they really be saying the name of her new retirement community in Florida?  I listened closely CLA CLA CLOISTERS.  I had to smile. We were heading for the airport to fly to Florida that morning. It was a fond farewell.   The touch of humor was memorable as we had gone through an unexpected obstacle in getting her connected with the right moving company and had delayed our trip by a day.

I've always loved Canadian geese, maybe like my mother I grew fond of watching them on the lake all those years we came to visit.  Geese fly in a V-formation as shown by the artist here.  The "V" looks like an arrow in the sky, pointing to new opportunities on the horizon.  Move forward and stay in formation for the greatest good of all is their message.

Oh, I almost forgot, geese also remind us to heed the call of the quest.

Enjoy your day with the Angels.

Rae Karen

Numerical Angel Messages: 555

5:55

When I woke up and looked at the clock early this morning, I was surprised to see 5:55. A numerical sequence I rarely hit.  The number five typically signifies expansion, stepping out of the limitations of a four-sided box and into a pentagon.  In her book Healing with the Angels, Doreen Virtue states:

"555--Buckle your seat belts, because a major life change is upon you. This change should
not be viewed as being "positive" or "negative", since all change is but a natural part of
life's flow.  Perhaps this change is an answer to your prayers, so continue seeing and
feeling yourself being at peace."

Enjoy your day with the Angels.

Rae Karen

My Missing Kindle and The Angel of Forgiveness

Last week I was put to the test.  To my shock, my email inbox was overflowing with Kindle book orders not from me.  Dozens of receipts for unsavory books not to my liking. Upset, I called Amazon. to find out what happened.  How could someone download books onto my Kindle?

Then, I remembered when I last used the reader. Mom was in hospice and I had read Alice in Wonderland to her before she passed on that week. Maybe the Kindle fell out of my handbag.

I'll admit I was angry at first. To lose my mother and my Kindle at the same time seemed unfair. Books I was writing were on that Kindle to be edited.  I shed a few tears, feeling like a victim, whoever took it was less than a holy Child of God.  But, that negative thinking only made me feel worse.

Then, I remembered an angel card tucked inside the flap of my Kindle.  A laminated picture of the Angel of Forgiveness a friend had given me back in 1994 when I moved to Georgia to begin my full spiritual adventure.  Having let go of the familiar-- home, house, family, friends, career, Virginia--the Angel of Forgiveness came in handy as I began a new chapter in my life. At times forgiving myself as I wondered if I'd chosen wisely.  The Angel of Forgiveness card had been in my wallet all those years until I decided to tuck it in the purple Kindle flap.

With the missing Kindle, forgiveness was needed more than ever. The Angel of Forgiveness was doing her work.   I decided to send the person with my kindle uplifting thoughts, asking their guardian angel to use this negative experience as a source for good.  I began to think loving thoughts towards them.

A funny thing happened.  I felt much better as I let go of resentment, and a victim mentality.

Several years ago, when I first tucked the Angel of Forgiveness inside my Kindle flap, I had no idea it would inspire me to forgive myself for the missing Kindle. Forgiveness is a gift for giving to self.

Enjoy your day with the Angels.

Love and blessings,

Rae Karen

P.S. The good news, although I lost my Kindle reader, my library collection was restored on my laptop.  Several days later, I was gifted with a Kindle just like mine (Talk to Text).  God is good.

Angel Message: Jesus Forgives, Love God

Skywriting in Orlando captured by cellphone camera

Sometimes Angel messages come in the most amazing ways, while at other times they are a little more obscure and are most easily discerned by those who have eyes to see.  A few days ago, I received this photo by email.  Someone dear to me, while staying at a hotel in Orlando, was prompted by the angels to lean over the balcony and look up.  When he did, a plane was writing a message in the blue sky overhead.  "Jesus forgives. Love God."  This seemed like an answer to a prayer since his ego had been attacking him, making him feel guilty.

God loves always, and if we keep our focus on loving God, amazing things happen; we find ourselves more content and peaceful in the now, enjoying our lives moment to moment, fully present.

Enjoy your day with the Angels. "God never changed His Mind about you."

Love,

Rae Karen

A Garden is a Healing Balm: An Angel Message

The kiss of the sun
for pardon
The song of the birds
for mirth
One is nearer God's Heart
in a garden
Than anywhere else on Earth.
                    Anonymous

This lovely garden plaque was placed divinely on my path.  What a perfect touch to a project I began yesterday.   While weeding the meditation garden, an angel thought came to me.  Why not dedicate a special place as a tribute to my mother.  Pulling out overgrown ferns to donate to a Bed & Breakfast Inn down the road, ideas began to swirl. Time spent in nature is a healing balm, renewing my strength and igniting my passion that had been missing for several months.

I began to envision a stone bench, crepe myrtles, colorful lantanas. More ideas will come day by day but what a healing way for me to spend time with Mom.  To fill the big hole she left in our lives. I know she is happy, and free, dancing with the angels. I'm so thankful for the guidance to bring a touch of heaven to earth.

Love and blessings,

Rae Karen

Mom, My Earth Angel

My Mom, the first angel I ever knew, is in heaven now.  She passed on early this morning at a beautiful hospice facility at the age of 96.  Last night as I watched over her, I could hear a bullfrog singing in the pond outside her window.  Crickets and cicadas joined in the chorus.  A peacefulness settled over the room and my Mom's heavy breathing blended in with the cacophony.  During the day, I'd watched graceful white heron land on the water's edge; yellow butterflies, and hummingbirds busily flit around the flowering bushes by her porch.  The whole atmosphere had a touch of heaven and I felt grateful for the loving care and support of all those who helped make Mom's transition a peaceful one.  You could feel the presence of the angels.

As I held that toiled hand that had labored over me through the years, the first clasp I'd ever known, it now seemed fitting that mine was to be the last to hold hers as she prepared for a rebirth into a new and better life.  The cycle was complete; these loving hands of hers and mine, entwined in a bond that transcends time.

And just like the angel she was, after taking her last gentle breath, the nurse put a sweet homemade angel holding a rosebud on the pillow beside Mom's resting place.

Thank you, Mother, for teaching me the joys of life.

Love,

Karen

Angel Message: Happy Things are on the Way

                                                    Angel weather vane, Wikimedia Commons

Your sweet Guardian Angel knows the things you have need of, the people you need to meet, and the places you need to go.  When I quiet my mind, often the words that come are:  "Be still and know that I am God." I've come to understand that "to be still" means to quiet the chatter of my ego mind as it tries to outline the course for the day.  In the stillness, as I open up to receive inspiration, it does come, often in the most unexpected ways.  There seems to be a flow to the day that is effortless; a welcome change from the dictates of the demanding ego.  I connect with the right people at the right time in the right place.

Recently the angels led me to read about a great way to begin the day.  Set an intention for joyful expectations.  Start each day by telling yourself,  "Happy things are on the way."   We are entitled to miracles; expressions of love from ourselves to others, and others to us.

Enjoy your day with the Angels.

Love and blessings,

Karen

Pray for Peace: Reba's Inspired Song

Yesterday afternoon while surfing the net for a photo of someone, I found stumbled upon this beautiful video on youtube.  Maybe you've already heard Reba sing her simple but profound song inspired by God.  The collage of photos submitted by folks from around the world as they went to their peaceful "place" to pray is touching.  I imagine the power of each of us to change the world as we sing the song together in Oneness.

Enjoy your day with the Angels.

Love and blessings,

Karen

Sand hill Cranes - An Angel Message on Creativity

An angel message appeared on my path after a rough sleepless night as my ego bombarded me with fearful thinking..  My mom had a set-back and had fractured her ankle in a fall. Not up to seeing a podiatrist to be fitted for a boot, she wanted to postpone the appointment,  I didn't push her.  Mom had told the nurse at assisted living that she was going to be passing on that day. Since late June, it has appeared that she may be nearing her time. More than ready; she's upset that she is still here.

So during the night my ego filled my mind with guilt for not forcing Mom to see a foot doctor. I began to worry rather than have faith.  I affirmed the truth as best I could, telling myself that Mom is not her body but a spiritual being. Her inner wisdom knows what she needs. God is Love. Rather than focus on any discomfort Mom may be feeling, I asked the angels to enfold her in God's Love as well as all those who have ever loved her in this physical realm. Soon, I feel back to a peaceful sleep.

When I called Assisted Living, the next morning the change in her was amazing.  She was perky and anxious to keep her foot appointment tomorrow.  I learned when negative thoughts get a foothold in your mind, kick them out and shut the door; or even better yet; don't let it in at all!  A constant form of wakeful prayer as you go about your day makes all the difference.

After hanging up with Mom, a Sand hill crane family of three strolled down our street, passing by our house early this morning. A car honked and  I ran for my camera.  A funny thing happened--they walked right by this warning post of a stop sign ahead. The arrow pointing up, was a message for me to stop negative thinking and look up!

In Animal-Speak, author Ted Andrews writes: "If the crane has shown up in your life as a totem, it could very well reflect that you are about to recover what had almost become extinct within you."

The crane is a bird of the waters (they were heading for the reservoir.) as such they can often teach you how to express your own feminine energies. They represent longevity and creation through focus. The red color in the head area of the Sand hill crane signifies an awakening to new mental faculties--which I'd done turning my thoughts on upward wings..

Enjoy your day with the Angels.

An Angel Message: Faith and Joy

The other day I was feeling tired when I went to hang up my shirt without turning it inside out. That's how I  noticed the label.  I'd worn it several times before, even washed it once,  but never saw the tag.  The words faith and joy seemed to jump out at me, and I smiled noticing that the company is based in Los Angeles (City of Angels).   Angel messages can appear in many different ways; even a shirt label can be a message to cheer up and keep having faith  that all things are working together for good.  Archangel Uriel is in charge of divine timing during this season of the year.  His Light can help us gain greater understanding and clarity.

Enjoy your day with the Angels and pay close attention as to how the angels are speaking to you.

Love and blessings,

Karen

Step Up - A Message from the Angels

While staying at a hotel in Daytona Beach, the bold message on the balcony slider was a good reminder.  STEP UP - For Door Threshold.

I love it!  We must step up to enter the door Christ has left open for us.  And what glorious vistas that door opens up in our world.

Enjoy your day with the Angels. And watch for the personal messages they send to encourage you to be your best.

Love and joyful blessings,

Rae Karen
