John 3:16 and The Sweet Spot: An Angel Message

Angel messages may be delivered in unusual and interesting ways. I recall a special one that appeared out of the blue many years ago.  A spontaneous trip to a favorite homemade ice cream shop, The Sweet Spot, brought an unexpected topping.   Leaving the shop, with a cone full of delicious mint chocolate chip ice cream, I spotted a business card.  It was in an unlikely spot, on top of the green hedge at the storefront.  Thinking it may be an angel message, I turned it over. What a surprise to find it was about God's business: a personal favorite Bible passage, John 3:16.

Smiling as I read this special verse, I recalled the healing that had occurred two years prior, when I was having trouble walking.  It was our first winter in Florida. I hobbled into a Christian Science Reading Room and met a wonderful man, who gave me a copy of Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy.  I took the little book home and soaked it up, thirsty for the truth.  I woke up in the middle of the night, hearing John 3:16.  For God so loved the world, he gave his only begotten Son that whosoever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life.

I sat up in bed, feeling God's love for me in a way I never had before.  I knew this verse by rote, but had never really let the truth sink in. Tears of gratitude brought a better understanding of God and me. He always loves me, no matter what.

The next morning I could walk effortlessly, and happened upon Sunflower Park in town. As Elliot and I sat on a bench enjoying the warm sunshine, I felt more alive than ever before.  Then to my surprise, a local minister spoke out John 3:16 from the park pavilion!

Thank you, I smiled, looking up at the blue sky.   The angels wanted to make sure I didn't forget the message.

So here it was two years later, out of the blue, at the The Sweet Spot, a perfect reminder.   As divine timing would have it, I needed another scoop as John 3:16 appeared yet again in my weekly Bible lesson.

How sweet it is.

God is Love.  He never changed His mind about you.

Joyful Blessings,
