(The Rose Garden at the Norfolk Botanical Gardens)
With the beautiful springlike weather Sunday, a trip to the Botanical Gardens in Norfolk was a real treat. The rose garden was still in bloom. Angels love roses and their fragrance heavenly. If you haven't been yet, it's a wonderful way to spend an afternoon communing with the beauty of Mother Nature. The Zohar tells us that every flower, every blade of grass has its angel encouraging it to grow.
The 155 acres are filled with thousands of plants and have more than 30 theme gardens spread across the area. The grounds are so lovely, you can feel a holy hush as you walk the trails to the Butterfly Garden, The Enchanted Forest with many story book houses, Avenue of the Statues, (DaVinci included), the Healing Garden and the Eagle's nest, just to name a few. There is also a tram if your feet get too tired or you may prefer to take the boat tour.
We ate sandwiches at the Garden Cafe on the flagstone terrace under the shade of a tree with a view of the magnificent lotus pond. Several cardinals came to enjoy our breadcrumbs.
Here's the website if you get inspired to visit. www.norfolkbotanicalgarden.org
Enjoy your day with your Angels.
