Who? Who? Who are You? An Angel Message

Sometimes nature speaks when least expected and delivers a comforting angel message.  Years ago, I remember the distinct call of an owl as I laid awake in bed worrying in the middle of the night.  "Who-o-o? Who-ooo?  I smiled "Whoo are you?" seemed to be the wise owl's haunting question.  "Who do you think you are?" We've all heard that many times in our lives, I'm sure.

The Holy Spirit knew the answer to my quandary.

As synchronicity would have it, earlier that evening, I'd been reading Alice in Wonderland.  Curiously, the original illustrated copy had popped up on a shelf at a bargain store while shopping for a new journal. One-of-a-kind and oddly out of place, I thanked the angels for the rare find.

At the dinner table, I'd playfully read out loud Alice's conversation with the caterpillar.

"Who are you?  the caterpillar asks Alice in a sleepy voice.

"I--I hardly know, Sir."  Alice shyly admits that she hardly knows just at the present-- at least I knew who I was when I got up this morning, but I think I must have changed several times since then."

I could relate to Alice's dilemma.  It's all about perception. Although we don't physically change sizes like Alice in her dream of Wonderland, we may find ourselves shrinking in front of this person, or that situation, and towering in others, depending on the circumstances we give away our power.

A change of perception was in the air this morning. After the heavy rains, to my surprise, the towering palm tree was wearing a new face.  Facing a new direction on the opposite side of her weathered gray trunk.

Her expression had softened.  Clear eyes opened wide, old weighty dead fronds passed away. She now had a peaceful countenance after weathering many storms. The old warrior face (below) had slowly faded away as the tall tree shed her bark in bits and pieces over the years.  Nature had carved a new look. Palm trees represent victory and timing.  Flexible, they give and bow down low in the winds so they can bounce upward again with their crowns intact.  The palm has been named the phoenix. A symbol of resurrection.

Who are you? we may often ask ourselves during these times of rapid acceleration.  A season of great questioning...about everything it seems.

We wear many masks for many different occasions.  Who are you? is the question. A lowly caterpillar? Or the beautiful butterfly? Mortal or Spiritual? A host to God or a hostage to your ego?  Who we think we are is the answer to all of our earthly problems. Someone once said the secret to beauty is to have less illusion and more soul.

Like Alice in Wonderland, our earthly sojourn is a call to listen to the Holy Spirit and awaken from the dream of separation from the Love of God. Like Alice running from the Queen's fearful army of cards, she's almost home...she's at the door. Reaching for the knob, it's locked! The door knob tells her she's already home.  Through the key-hole she sees the truth.   She is safely sleeping in the shade of a tree.  Alice shouts to herself through the keyhole, WAKE UP, Alice!

And, you know the rest of the story. It was only a dream.

Like Alice, we, too, are safe at home, dreaming in the Ever Lasting Arms.  Who are you?  A holy Child of God.  Arise and shine!

Love and joyful blessings,

Rae Karen

Faith-Filled Friday: Angel Message

When I opened the vertical blinds in the morning,  I almost stepped on a familiar flat stone on the brown variegated carpet. I smiled at Hei-Hei's special angel delivery to start a new day.  During the night, that playful cat had knocked it off the lamp table in the sun-room.  Picking up the smooth stone, it felt cool and comforting in my hand.  I knew it was the FAITH rock before I turned it over. The surprise came later on--after the photo was uploaded.  Something new and different appeared on the polished rock.  A stream of lamp light reflected on the ebony stone--like an exclamation point after the word Faith in gold letters! I had to go back and double-check the shiny black rock to be sure. But the light had emboldened the angel message to have faith during the dark times.  Unseen Help is ever present.

Although Hei Hei wasn't finished with his morning deliveries. He caught my attention later on the porch quietly watching the sandhill crane family commune by the old windmill.  The brown welcome mat the cat rested on was a bristle haired. Our Story Begins Here.

In the story of our life, what a gift to know we can ask for faith, even if it be as small as a mustard seed. God can do miraculous things with just a little willingness on our part.  The Holy Spirit welcomes every invitation and is the call to Joy in our going out and in our coming in. Answers come...with just a little faith in our hearts.

Love and peace,

Rae Karen

Drumming A New Rhythm: Angel Message

Watering the flowers early this morning,  I caught a glimpse of the sun's glorious rays breaking through the trees.  Dazzling sunbeams like a golden sparkler on the 4th of July.  I stood still in the cascade enjoying the splendor.  A short time later, a loud drumming outside the sun-room interrupted my morning routine as I wrote in my journal.  RAT-A-TAT, like a jackhammer his beak pounded the old wood power pole.

Whenever a woodpecker appears, and it doesn't happen often, a  new rhythm is being drummed into our lives.   A rhythm that will eliminate worries, and allow success to occur in the coming months.  This is something entirely new, so be sure to focus on new plans, new goals. The old way will no longer work for you.   Doing things the way you've always done will no longer work. Doing things the way others do will not work for you.  A new rhythm, a new ability, and a new opportunity for rapid growth are around you right now.  You now have a solid foundation to move in any direction.

And, as always, our angels are ever present to guide, protect and encourage. Love will make a way.

 Love, joy and peace,

Rae Karen

By Leaps and Bounds: Angel Message

Yesterday's wait at Tires Plus was a lesson in patience as Elliot and I sat in the car in the heat of a hot summer day.  The ice cream store next door was closed on Mondays.  Looking up at fluffy white clouds, a tiny glint of color caught my eye.  Gliding ahead of giant billowy white clouds, a lone skydiver appeared.  Watching him sail the friendly skies after making a daring leap out of a plane at nearby Sky Dive Academy, I envied his bird's eye view on-high.

A rare treat, I zoomed in from an astronomical distance. Struggling to focus on what appeared like a tiny candy sprinkle on a vanilla-frosted cake, I asked the angels for help.  They delivered.  The colorful parachute canopy turned out to be a rainbow. An uplifting sign of God's promise of deliverance-- no matter how great the clouds in our life may loom.

The evening before, another surprise had graced our neighborhood.  On a walk, my son suddenly spotted a real rainbow, high up in the clouds, fading, but visible.

But something else happened during our wait at Tires Plus.  I spotted something move... ever so slightly. Straining to see, I could barely make out the unlikely brown form of a little frog that blended in with the pebbled concrete. I let out a laugh of disbelief, feeling the jolt of an angel tune-up. Really? A frog at the tire maintenance garage.

The angels were on a roll. The acronym for F.R.O.G.  Fully Rely on God.  Frog it!

To prove it really happened, I leaped out of the car. BOING! BOING!  Strong hind legs stretched to the max bouncing him up high in the air, in the shadows of the bushes by the TIRES PLUS SIGN.  In the blink of an eye, the brown frog sprang round the brick wall, and disappeared.  Only wisps of heat steamed the vacant parking lot.  Gone in a single bound, but not forgotten, I got it. Frog it!  NO matter how trying the circumstances of our trials may be, do your best and fully rely on God.

The skydiver and the leaping frog were playful angel messages to keep having faith on high.   And, we had been blessed with four new tires.

Joyfully watch for angel messages to come your way today to help you lighten up.  Isn't it wonderful that we are never alone? We have angels watching over us.  The best is yet to be.

Love, joy and peace,

Rae Karen

When a Cardinal Appears: An Angel Message

Early this morning, sleepily spreading cracked corn by the drive, all was quiet and still after the rain last night. The trees drenched, everything renewed and refreshed. The earth was blanketed with peace.  Shuffling along, suddenly, I was awakened.  The soggy collage of brown leaves and green grass sprang to life.  Startled, I looked down.  By my feet, a cute wide-eyed rabbit emerged in a furry brown coat of camouflage.

"Oh, Good morning!" I softly greeted my hungry friend.  "Sorry I didn't see you at first." Shiny black eyes stared up at me.  Her tall ears tuned on-high like an antenna.  I remembered rabbit represents new life, new beginnings, and fertility.   Rather than run away in fear, she stayed her ground and nibbled on the yellow seed.

Later, when I looked out again, a red cardinal had joined her.  You can't make these things happen. I grabbed my camera, not expecting much through the screen door.  I snapped away, but the angels delivered a photo for you. Cardinals always remind me of my angel mom.  A sign her love is reaching through the veil to encourage me just when needed the most.

The two communed by the old gray metal windmill near the driveway.  Many years ago, I spotted the towering garden ornament waving on a corner in a desperate call for help. The windmill was about to be turned into scrap.  A ten dollar bargain, a friend helped us haul it home.   Windmills stir my mind with thoughts of my faith-filled Grandma Jessie, mom's mother. A real working windmill had pumped water into her old white two-story farmhouse. If I close my eyes, I can still hear creaking as the wheel slowly spun, round and round in the winds of change.

The Circle of Life goes round and round.

I am thankful for a little brown rabbit and a bright red cardinal. New life, loved ones are near.   A reminder to walk by faith and not by sight, to listen and stay attuned to the inner voice of Spirit.  I'm learning more each day that the unseen realm is more real than the material world we perceive with our five senses.  Bodies may come and go, but the spirit of life and love lives on forever.  There is no death.

So no matter whatever you may be going through, remember the unseen realm.  There is more going on than your physical eyes can discern.  You are growing in Spirit.   Remember your divine heritage.  You are in a body but you are not your body.  You are a holy Child of God.

Be still and listen... Love always makes a way.

May your spirit soar to new heights today as you embrace your true identity.

Love and peace,

Rae Karen

Doing the Impossible: An Angel Message

It felt good rooting around in the dirt again, creating a meditation garden underneath the palm trees in the cool of the dawn.  Long neglected, weeding, and a fresh infusion of beauty was needed.  Terracotta pots hauled out of the garage were soon smiling with cheerful periwinkles, and red geraniums.  After several hours, my early morning enthusiasm had stirred my tired blood as the garden came back to life, and so did I.

The day heated up. A garden is a work in progress.  Satisfied, I returned to the sun room to enjoy the new view.  While talking to Elliot, I felt a slight stirring on top of my head.  I  brushed off a tiny black ball that landed on the carpet by the coffee table.   Busy talking, I didn't pay any attention to it until our curious cat did.  A soft fuzzy-striped honey bee! She had been resting on top of my head as I busily buzzed around the garden.  In that moment, strange as it seemed, the image of a honey bee crowning my head warmed my heart.  I wondered about the symbolism?  Over the years, working closely with nature, I've learned to replace fear with love and see the beauty and helpfulness of all life in harmony.

Soon the little honey bee was back outdoors, enjoying the sweet nectar of life.

Synchronicity was at play. The next day a letter from Earth Justice landed in our mail box. "Honey bees may be small, but they play a giant role in providing food on our tables.  Their electromagnetic charge turns them into tiny flying magnets, carrying and transferring pollen from flower to flower."  Each spring, honey bees pollinate almonds, apples, apricots, lemons, squash, zucchini and dozens of other fruits.  Honey bees need our protection from harmful insecticides.

As strands in the web of life, you and I and all the plants and animals are connected.  Let us be wise stewards of our earth.  Bee represents doing the impossible.  May our days be crowned with a bee reminding us that all things are possible with the Love of God.

Love and peace,

Rae Karen

Ribbet! Ribbet!: Call of Faith

With all the rain last night, the morning was filled with a cacophony of frogs singing like Tibetan monks.  Maybe it was partially because of our new garden statue.  A praying frog.

Sometimes in going about our normal daily routine, we may find ourselves at the right place, at the right time to be used as an angel to lend a helping hand.

The frogs stirred my memory of a lesson presented many years ago while living on a farm in Virginia.  After dinner I went to take out the trash at the back of the cottage.  When I lifted the heavy lid on the industrial-size blue container on wheels, something green caught my eye. A cute little tree frog had been trapped inside.  Tiny suction fingers clung to the inner wall, almost to the top of the can, but in full view for a rescue.

Happy for divine timing and a chance to help, I found a short stick on the ground.  Gently I coaxed the little fellow, "Let go and climb aboard."  Unblinking eyes stared at me as he stubbornly refused to let go.
Twilight was upon us when he finally made a giant leap... in the wrong direction!

In dismay, I watched him disappear underneath the mound of black plastic bags.

Now what? I wondered, losing patience. I couldn't just shut the lid and leave him alone overnight.  And, if I left the lid open, other critters may picnic in the trash.

I tried reaching my arm down to shift the bags, but the bin was too deep.  I had to do something.  But what? An angel thought urged, search around for a long stick.  Quickly I found one, sturdy with two v-shaped twigs on the end, perfect for bag fishing.

Afraid I may crush the little fellow, I asked the angels for help.  Successfully I hooked the first bag and began to slowly raise it upward.  It was working...but I had doubts as to how long.  As the bag rose up higher, I could see the angels had delivered.  It seemed too easy, too good to be true.  I stared wide-eyed at the wayward tree frog.  He sat still, riding the black bag like a gentleman taking an elevator to the top.   Freedom at last!

Thank you, Angels, I cheered. Tomorrow was Trash pick-up day.

Quickly I set the big bag and its rider down by the old walnut tree, in hopes of attuning him back to nature.   But more was to come.  Rather than joyfully springing off into the woods, his fingers stuck like glue to the trash bag. He refused to let go.

After much prodding and patience, finally he let go and leaped off into the sunset. His lesson on the merits of letting go lingered as I gratefully watched him disappear into the woods.  His strange behavior made me think of how sometimes it's hard to let go of our garbage, and take a brave leap in a new direction.  When we do, we can Fully Rely on God every step of the way.

Something amusing happened a month or so later, one morning Elliot called out to come take a look. A  little tree frog was at the front door, hands folded like in prayer.  I hurried to see for myself.  A cute little tree frog was looking inside the house, stuck on the windowpane.  Playfully I asked our visitor if he was my tree frog friend who'd come calling again.   A prayerful reminder to F.R.O.G. it, fully rely on God in our going out and in our coming in.

Sometimes we may feel as if our life has been trashed, stuck in a heap with no way out.  But the frog reminds us that we are never alone.  We can Fully Rely on God, and his angels will lift us up and deliver us when we do.

When writing this angel blog, the old photo of the tree frog at the cottage door copied not once, but four times onto the page.   A signal to fully rely on God, times four today.

Love and peace,

Rae Karen

A Lesson from a Rose: An Angel Message

                                            (Photo from web)

Now that summer is officially here, the energies are more supportive to connect with nature.  We can learn many lessons by spending time in the garden or at a park.  When we take time to notice the beauty that surrounds us, we can find clues on how we, too, can grow in grace.

Who may tell the rose where or when to bloom?
For it takes from whatever may be its surroundings,
and when encompassed even by man it does the
best possible to be the beauty, the joy, and to give
out that which is pleasing in the service to God.
Thy whole lesson is in that.

Enjoy your day with the Angels.

A Morning Leap of Faith: Angel Message

Last night's rain delivered a sweet angelic message.  With my usual cup of birdseed and cracked corn to feed the critters, sleepily I stepped out onto the screened porch. My adrenaline suddenly surged. Hei-Hei found an unusual playmate! In the gray light of dawn, a frightened little tree frog leapt across the gray cement floor to escape  playful paws in pursuit.   Quickly grabbing our cat, I saw the little frog hide under a wooden footstool. A quick call to Elliot for help brought results.  With his trusty large padded envelope, the little frog was gently shepherded toward the rear back door, one rarely used.  Positioned for a quick and timely escape, there was a strange glitch. Somehow that screen door wouldn't open.  The lock was jammed, as we took turns jiggling it.

Perseverance paid off.

Finally it sprang open.  What a happy sight to watch the little frog gracefully leap out the door to great freedom.  What happened next caught me by surprise. Rather than to hop quickly back to nature in the morning mist, he chose to hunker down on the top step.

Later when  I checked on him again, the little fellow was gone on the way to his next adventure.  His surprise visit brought a smile of gratitude for delivering a message that lingered at the back door.   Fully Rely On God.   (The acronym for F.R.O.G.  Fully Rely on God)

The angel message for today is to trust in divine timing.  Remember in your going out and in your coming in, Fully Rely on God.  And, thank the angels who are always with you in all your ways,  (Psalm 91)

Love and peace,

Rae Karen

Happy Father's Day! An Angel Message

(faded old photo of Dad and Me)

On Father's Day today, an old angel blog resurfaced by surprise.  I'm sharing it in memory of my wonderful father, Raymond, in heaven.

In 1971 my first husband and I were returning to Virginia after his military tour in Fairbanks, Alaska. We hadn't been home for two long years.  After a long drive cross-country, when we walked in the door, Dad was not there. Mom didn't want to worry us on the trip home, but Dad was very ill in a veteran's hospital in Maryland.  We went straight to the hospital with Mom.  He was so happy to see me when I walked into his room. It was the happiest day of his life, he hugged me.  My relationship had always been rocky with him, but our heart to heart reunion was healing that day on many levels.  I wrote him a long letter asking for forgiveness and thanking him for being my father.

A week later we learned Dad was in intensive care, and wasn't expected to live much longer.   I remember watching him lay in his hospital bed, hooked up to monitors, each heart beat beeping on the screen.   I wondered about my letter.  Had I waited too long to send it?  Dad died that night at the age of 56.

My heart dropped when a few weeks later, my unopened envelope returned, stamped deceased. More tears flooded from that blow than from his passing. Guilt gripped me.   Why had I waited so long to express my real feelings? I couldn't even talk about the letter without welling up.   Friends and family reassured me that my father knew I loved him.  It was ten years before I could talk about the undelivered letter without breaking down in tears.

On a brighter note, in 1999, I woke up on Father's Day before dawn. Eyes closed, I began thinking about the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is strong in me. I let that powerful thought sink down deep in to my mind. The more I silently repeated The Holy Spirit is strong in me, the stronger the loving Presence became.

Then, to my surprise, my father's face appeared in my mind's eye.

It was so unexpected.

I began reflecting on his life. The gifts he had given me. Life. Creativity. Humor. There wasn't anything he couldn't do, if he really put his mind to it.  Fly a plane, build a brick patio, upholster furniture, restore an antique mummy case grandfather clock.   He was a journalist, military leader, computer systems analyst, and a free thinker.  Madison Avenue was a trap. He wasn't religious, but he believed God was a Supreme Being. When I was a child, he seemed to be an angry man. I didn't understand the war memories he hid deep within that earned him The Purple Heart.

After much reflection that morning, I found myself welling up. "I love you, Dad. I am glad that you were my Father. That I am the person I am. I thank you for all the gifts you gave me."

Then I remembered. It's Father's Day!
So that's why I saw you.

My heart filled with peaceful gratitude. When my husband, Elliot woke up,  I shared what had happened. We talked about my father.  Dad had been frustrated by the times he lived in. An Aquarian, he was often misunderstood, fifty years ahead of his time.

What happened next caught me by surprise.

A framed picture of Christ on my nightstand suddenly toppled over, and the table lamp came on.   Suddenly the dark bedroom was filled with light!

A rush of goosebumps brought fresh tears.

In that moment, Dad was with us.

"I know you're here, Dad. I love you!"

Then later my logical mind kicked in.  "Maybe the picture triggered the lamp switch when it fell down?" I wondered.

But Elliot had heard the lamp CLICK as it turned on.  He smiled. "Accept the gift."

I laughed... I can't think of a better gift.  Love is never-ending and extends beyond time and space.  Happy Father's Day!

Leave nothing unsaid.   Words matter.  Write to family and loved ones, let them know they are important to you.

Happy Father's Day!

A Gift of Light from Damsel Flies

All things work together for good...so a hungry cat pawing my back before dawn usually plants my feet on the floor.  I've become rather fond of the quiet alone time as I step outside with a cup of birdseed to greet a new day.  And, each day begins with a story to tell. A signature theme in nature.

This morning I scattered the seed on the wet grass by the driveway. No sign of wildlife.  No bunnies, squirrels, or birds.  A heavy gray sky from torrents of rain had refreshed the trees and shrubs. A relief from several days of blistering heat.

In quiet stillness, I looked up at the gray sky and gave thanks. To my surprise, a tiny damsel-fly appeared circling close above me! Animated, she did a happy dance without sunlight to reflect her beautiful wings yet her joy was contagious as I watched her fly close by, always circling back an arm's reach above my head. Dragon flies had been my dear writer friend's symbol of the afterlife. I welcomed the winged angel messenger with grateful thoughts of Joanna, now on the other side.  Whenever I see a damsel fly I think of her.

To my surprise, as my enthusiasm grew watching her, so did the number of damsel flies quickly increase. One by one, they appeared in fine gauze double wings, enjoying a dance in the misting rain.  Mesmerized, I watch the damsel flies chase after each other, putting on a show.  Joyfully, I welcomed each little one reflecting on my departed loved ones now in the Light. With gratitude, I then recalled dragonflies/damsel flies are symbols of light.  More than a dozen had joined in a celebration that seemed to transcend this world. What a gift!

Inspired, later more research on the damsel fly revealed:  "(Shine and heal).  Your intuition and perceptions are clear now.  You are entering a new stage on your path.  Step forward, Illumine and heal."

But, more was to come...

After writing about the wonderful damsel fly parade in my journal, a doubting ego thought prompted, Grab your camera and see if you can capture a picture of the damsel flies.  I knew it was silly, but I did it anyway.  Of course, the damsel flies had vanished...but as I looked across toward the garage. I caught another reflection of light in the glass pane on the garage door.  The symbol for this spiritual year (5784) is the Door.

You can't make these things happen... An old rugged cross illumined by a light appeared in the window of the garage door.  I stared at it for the longest time, and then took a picture.

The damsel flies had delivered another message to trust in the power of light.  "Life is never what it appears so try to see through the illusions.  As the light shifts so do our perceptions, and they are very accurate now."    A wonderful message for all during these dark days of transformation.

Light. Light. And, more Light.  Coming back into the house, Christ's Words, I am the Resurrection and the Life came to mind. Whosoever believeth in Me shall never see death.

May your day be overflowing with grace and goodness as you draw closer to the Light of Christ.  Ask and you shall receive, seek and you shall find, knock and it shall be opened.

Love and peace,

Rae Karen

So Full of Love: An Angel Message

At dusk this morning I went outside with a cup of birdseed.  The air was thick and heavy with no sign of wildlife anywhere.  I scattered the cracked sunflower seeds, corn, and little pellets on the grass near the driveway.  Afterwards, lost in thought, I paused to look out over the pasture, then up at the trees, filled with gratitude to the angels for protecting the land after a major fire started in our next door neighbor's old garage that burned to the ground a few weeks ago.   The power of Psalm 91 had been at work.  A rugged team of firefighters and multiple firetrucks managed to contain the fiery blaze in a short time.

With quiet thoughts of gratitude this morning, I happened to look down beside me. A little brown rabbit had come near nibbling on seed.  With shiny brown eyes, he quietly looked up at me as I greeted him, and this comforting poem came to mind.

A Rabbit Noticed My Condition

I was sad one day and went for a walk;
I sat in a field.
A rabbit noticed my condition and came near.
It often does not take more than that to help at times--
to just be close to creatures
who are so full of love that they don't chat,
they just gaze with their marvelous understanding.

--St. John of the Cross   (Love Poems from God)

How comforting to realize that we're always only a thought away from the presence of Divine Love.  As I write this now,  a wild turkey trots out from the woods.  I love the timing, a remembrance to be thankful always.

Peace to you today as you draw closer to your angels, and remember God loves you now and always.

Little Star Deep Within: Angel Message

Watching the bunnies romp and race round and round in the pasture early this morning must have stirred the air.  Then later just for fun, I spontaneously selected an angel card, I shouldn't have been surprised to see the Angel of Play.  Lately, I've been feeling waterlogged.

Then when Elliot suggested a roadtrip for lunch and a visit to the Butterfly Garden, I wasn't so much in the mood but decided to give it a go.

I'm glad I did.  Walking down the trail of wildflowers, blue plumbago, black-eyed Susans, vincas, a potpourri of colorful butterfly attractions, I spotted a flowering bush of unusual pink trumpet-like flowers. Each funnel blossom revealed a sun-lit yellow star shining deep within.   Imagine a tiny star buried in the petals. Nature is amazing.   An angel message whispered, you, too, have a star shining deep within.

Later, some research revealed funnel-shaped flowers symbolize drawing things in, or help express things outward.  They deliver a message on how well we are, or are not, effectively expressing ourselves. Ask yourself is it time to be more spontaneous in your expressions?

This is a time for fresh life forces and spontaneity.  We can draw upon our inner resources with greater effortlessness in the weeks ahead, with great success.

Enjoy your day with your angels, and shine your Light.  Remember you are never alone. God has sent His angels to watch over you. The best is yet to be.

Love and peace,

Rae Karen

Deer Dawning: Angel Message

The beautiful deer returned before dawn, a surprise visit while I was on the porch enjoying the stillness of a new day.  This time, rather than run away, he paused and gazed at me with those beautiful big eyes. A picture of innocence.  I met his gaze in a holy whisper from heart to heart, thankful for the reminder to be gentle with myself and my goals, and to connect with the child within me.

May your day overflow with blessings from your angels that will delight your soul and make your heart sing.

Love and peace,

Rae Karen

Welcome Iris of Celestial Reflections

Many years ago at a thrift shop in Virginia Beach, this unique framed poster of a cosmic Iris "spoke" to me. Irises have been my symbol that God is with me.  They are like breadcrumbs spread along the path leading me home.  The expansive artwork of the blue bearded iris growing far beyond the limitations of the earth, with the faded full moon above her, planted in my soul the promise of a quantum leap of faith.

In the month of June, the iris, my flower favorite, is the flower of the month.  Iris was known in Greek mythology as the Goddess of the Rainbow. According to the Madonna Flower Cycle, the keynote for June is Celestial Reflections.  Now is a good time for introspection, to spend quiet time in reflection and attune to higher consciousness.  An auspicious  time to rise above the limitations of human perception, and see the bigger picture, just like in the iris poster. A grand dispensation of Light and Love is available.  Cherubim, Seraphim, and beloved Mother Mary pour down loving radiations to help awaken our sleeping souls.

As I was writing this just now, I caught an amazing glimpse of a juvenile deer running by the window, heading for the trail back to the forest.  A rare, wonderful sight. "When deer appears, it is time to be gentle with yourself and your pursuits. Now is the time to connect with the child within you. A new innocence and freshness is about to be awakened within your life by a gentle, enticing lure to new adventures."

I'm so thankful for the timing of angel communications that come through nature.  The best is yet to be.  Remember you are never alone.  God has given his angels charge over you.  Psalm 91 is our assurance plan. God is Love.

Love and joyful blessings,

Rae Karen

Mary Undoer of Knots: An Angel Message

Years ago while visiting a local monastery gift shop, I discovered a find. A prayer card, Mary Undoer of Knots.  Although I'm not Catholic, Mother Mary has had a special place in my heart since I first began my spiritual journey in the early 90's.  I love the imagery of Mary and her angels untying the knots in the ribbon of my life.

The card read:

"With God all things are possible." (Luke 1:37)

Prayer to Our Mother Undoer of Knots

O Virgin Mary, faithful Mother who never refuses to come to the aid of
your children; Mother whose hands never cease to help, because they are
moved by the loving kindness that exists in your Immaculate Heart, cast
your eyes of compassion upon me, and see the snarl of knots that exists
in my life.  You know all the pains and sorrows caused by these tangled
knots.  Mary, my Mother, I entrust to your loving hands the entire ribbon
of my life.  In your hands there is no knot which cannot be undone.

Most Holy Mother, pray for Divine Assistance to come to my aid. Take
these knots (mention here) into your maternal hands this day, beg you
to undo it for the glory of God, once and for all, in the name of your
Divine Son, Jesus Christ. Amen.

Mary, Undoer of knots, pray for us.

Mary the Queen of Angels belongs not only to certain Judeo-Christians, but to all God's people.  She is the celebration of all human cultures steeped in faith.  Since praying this healing prayer, I've found more peace by handing over my cherished knots, and watching them unwind in a gentle loving way.

Love and joyful blessings,

Rae Karen
