On Saturday morning, I was startled awake by a jolt. The radiant full moon of May splashed through the window slats, in a burst of bright light. Quickly I dressed and followed the angel nudge. This is how The Flower Moon looked at 5:45 a.m. when I stepped outside in the stillness of a slumbering world. Walking slowly down the driveway, looking up, there she was...A radiant orb aglow like a gazing ball, peeking through the branches of the oak, in the Marian Butterfly Garden. I smiled grateful for her touch of nature among the flowers.
Before the clouds could roll in, I hurried out to the clearing and stood by the pasture fence to zoom closer to my old friend, Bella Luna.
Peace, serenity, and light...a welcomed quietness in a moment of sacred silence. I could almost hear my heart beat as the world slipped away.
Nature is full of wonders...
May is Mother Mary's month, a celebration of motherhood and flowers. Roses, irises, daisies, marigolds, plumbago--and endless list of floral apostles in many varieties; each one delivering a divine message of love, hope, and light. Beloved Mother Mary delivered a precious gift of infinite Light through her beloved Son, Jesus the Christ, a Light that shattered this dark world bringing new life.
Every flower has a purpose and the one that finds you is not by chance. Recently, I counted over thirty buds and blossoms on the wild pear cactus growing in the sandy pasture where the Flower Moon shone bright. And, like I shared earlier, opuntia humifusa symbolizes maternal love because it endures and thrives in harsh conditions like the unconditional love of a mother. Yellow is the color of faith. And this pear cactus not only persevered but thrived like never before during the severe winter.
A reminder that whatever you may be going through, keep on having faith that the best is yet to be. Remember you are more than you presently realize, a power far greater than you is with you when you abide in the Shadow of the Almighty. (Psalm 91) A place of peace and safety in all life's trials.
Love and peace,
Rae Karen
