Nature draws especially close to communicate during the summer months. Yesterday, a pair of red-headed woodpeckers drummed a new rhythm on the soggy pine tree outside my den. Pecking away at bugs on the soft wet bark, the feast was on, the storm had passed.
Their bright red crests stood out high in a gray sky. I've been studying the vibration of color...and red represents vitality, courage, new life. Woodpecker signals unique new rhythms of success. The foundation has been laid, now follow your own rhythms to build on that foundation to pursue endeavors in the manner unique to you. Continuing in the old way will no longer work, or doing them as others won't work either. Now is the time to plan and build for the future in the manner best for us. There is a new rhythm, ability, and new opportunities for rapid growth just now.
This morning nature delivered an amazing gift out of the blue. I happened to look out from the porch. What a surprise! A tender sight... a young pair of whistling ducks brought color and fresh, new vitality to the Marian garden after the storm last night. This was a first...and I watched those pink legs and large orange beaks gently step out in new terrain. I was happy they could feel the peace and venture out to nibble the birdfeed.
Turns out these beautiful, gentle ducks represent balance, resilience, adaptability and inter-connectivity with all living things. The black bellied duck's whistling call is seen as a connection to the higher realms or communicating with the divine. When one appears, it may signal you're in the midst of a transformation period. It may encourage you to embrace change, let go of old patterns, and open to new opportunities ahead.
I snapped the photos from the porch so as not to frighten them away. This one of the dolphin statue when uploaded reminded me to take a deep breath and stay at peace. After all the whistling duck brings a message to keep thought on high...Don't come down and get your feathers ruffled today.
What other messages are you receiving from nature? It may be from a book, a card, an advertisement, any way the angels wing it to you, it was meant to be. You are not alone. Keep having faith and don't look back, look up. Be deceived not by appearances. I send a bubble of peace and happiness around you this day. The best is yet to be.
