The Saw Palmetto Palm: Angel Message

What has your attention, and why?

Last weekend, The Guide to Florida Wildflowers popped up for sale at the Library Book Nest.   Little did I know it held a clue to meaningful events yet to unfold.

But often with the angels...one thing leads to another.

That's how I learned that the tall palm by the porch was a Saw Palmetto.  And even better, it could produce small white fragrant flowers...a source of honey.  And its fruits were the staple of Florida Indians years ago.

The spontaneous trip to the library had been to break the habit of marinating my eyeballs in social media and disturbing world news and opinions.  I had also gotten steeped in a riveting historical saga on the Civil War by Ginny Dye that drew me into that troubling era of American history.

I wasn't feeling so great... as my spiritual discipline had taken a back seat.  So, the angels guided me to empty my bowl...so it could be filled again.  You can't fill a full bowl.  Take a fast from the web, and spend quiet time by listening to nature.  To go within, or go without!!...to be still.   To clear my mind.

To pass the time, I rearranged the porch furniture, creating a special place for the old wooden rocker, adding a rug and making it a cozy place to sit and observe.

Little did I know, that old rocker was now positioned in the perfect place to look up high and see the Saw Palmetto. A surprise to see all those clusters of little white flowers...  just like in the wildflower book. And even better, hundreds of little bees buzzed merrily among her flowering branches... Bees have a highly developed sense of time.  They tell each other the locations of new feeding places by doing certain dances.  Scents and sounds are also used to communicate.

The Saw Palmetto Palm's time had come.  And, the palm is a tree of victory and peace.  In the end,  patience had her perfect work...and, it was well worth the wait.  Something we all could take to heart.

Gazing up at that sweet, tender sight, I knew the angels were communicating.  A reminder to enjoy the nectar of life while you can.

A little research revealed...  If a bee makes itself very noticeable in your life, you should consider whether your attention is really directed toward joy or whether you have directed your fascination toward weaknesses, illnesses, disasters, or crimes.  Be alert for fascination is the seed that bears experience as fruit.  A perfect message...

"You are advised to direct your life toward the light of joy, to take part in society, and to look for new essences that many conceal new joy.  Carry your joy in your external life."

We are blessed to be in the company of angels, and what joy comes when we listen and obey, knowing they are watching over us in all of our ways and be thankful that the best is yet to be.

Love and peace,

Rae Karen
