Fully Rely on God: An Angel Message

F.R.O.G. Fully Reply on God  11-6-18

This week my son is visiting.  Last night on our way home from dinner out, he discovered a little frog when we got out of the car at the shopping center.  It was only when the little fellow took a leap on the gray parking lot pavement that David could see it.  Frogs are about taking a leap of faith.

More F.R.O.G. energy appeared at home after dark.  While we were sitting in the living room having a lively talk, this little tree frog took a leap up on the outer window ledge. "Here's a frog!" Elliot said, spotting it from the couch.  The timing was a surprise, our first froggy visitation in almost a month.

We all got up to take a look, knowing Fully Rely On God was the message.

Three little fingers were pressed against the glass pane as if the frog were counting the three of us enjoying a wonderful visit as he lovingly looked in the window.

David got a picture.

The frog's big eyes are wide open.   I love how the glass reflection captured me on the couch. It appears so real but it is just a reflection.  Not the real deal.  A reminder to Fully Rely On God (F.R.O.G)   Unseen heavenly help is always watching over us as we awaken in the dream to embrace our true reality.

Enjoy your day with the Angels, and fully rely on God.

Love and joyful blessings,

And the winner is...

Recently, Elliot and I had stopped by the Family Bookstore so he could order a book.  I happened to notice a free drawing on the counter.  A chance to win nature books on Florida.  On a whim, I filled out the entry form, folded it in half, and tucked it into a glass jar, not really expecting to be a winner.

What a surprise to receive the winning phone call.  When I came to the store to collect my bounty, the owner wanted my picture for the newsletter.

I'm so thankful that now I can identify the Florida birds in our yard by name.  Also, learn the names of the seashells, one is known as angel wings.

Angel Wings Seashells
Lastly, a wonderful guidebook on sights to see in the "Land of Flowers".

The angels remind me that if you want to win, you have to toss your name in the ring.

Enjoy your day with the Angels.

The Door Jamb: An Angel Message

As you know, lessons can be learned from many ordinary acts that play out in our lives.

Over the long spring and summer months, the heat and rain caused our backdoor to warp.  In our going out and in our coming in, it would take both hands tugging on the knob before it opened.  The adjustment was delayed in hopes that cool weather would contract the wood.

In patience, we laughed that at least we were building our muscles. This door has a welcoming personality.  It is the door where the wild buttercup plant grows out of a crack in the stucco wall.  A little palmetto plant has grown into a leafy tree.  The door where hungry cats show up for a meal, and stay.  We have one orange tabby now, but the max in the past 8 years has been two stray felines.  Another lesson in following guidance, and not letting fear rule that to feed one cat is to feed a soon-to-be army.  In truth, what blesses one blesses all.

But back to the backdoor ...

Last week, a carpenter came and adjusted the doorjamb, leveled the frame, and now our access is free and easy.

We are no longer stuck!  Elliot laughed.

But here's the thing-- I still find myself in that old familiar pattern as I come and go throughout the day. My brain is slow to catch on as I impetuously yank on that doorknob.  The force of this act causes me to be thrust backwards in surprise. The struggle is all my own. There is no opposition.

This routine approach to the fixed door has given me an aha moment.  Do I still handle resolved issues without realizing they are a thing of the past?  I am thankful for the reminder of how old embedded memories may still be playing out long after a physical challenge or a difficult relationship has been healed.

I must be patient with myself.  A mental adjustment is needed, with the help of the angels and the Holy Spirit.  Now, at least as I approach the backdoor, I try to slow down and remind myself to relax, it is unstuck.  And, so am I-- from exerting unnecessary energy towards that old pattern.

On mindful days, I will remember to invite the angels to go before me as I gladly venture out the door.

Enjoy your day with the Angels.

Love and joyful blessings,

Rae Karen

Wake up: An Angel Message

In keeping with the recent Alice in Wonderland theme playing out in my life, it was amusing to see this "Wake up sign" at the hotel in St. Augustine.  Elliot and I were waiting to be seated for dinner. Angels draw your attention to messages, how are they playing out in your dream today?  Remember you are never alone.

The Madonna with the White Rabbit: An Angel Message

The Virgin with the Rabbit and her mother, St, Anne
Angels messages come in many ways, but I've noticed over the past few years, they tend to appear in reflections of light.

Early this morning, October 26, 2018, the sky was gray with gentle rains.  Before noon, the weather had shifted.  As I entered the living room, to my surprise, I saw The Virgin with the Rabbit canvas in a new and different light.

Sunlight pouring through the window had created an enormous wedge of light. Like an arrow, it  pointed from the Christ child to the docile white rabbit in his mother's left hand.

I was reminded of  the harried rabbit in Alice in Wonderland.  Only this rabbit appeared to be in very good hands, waiting near the top of a tunnel of light in the rabbit-hole.

The Christ in the painting is shown with his mother, and her mother, St., Anne, and he is the focal point of their loving maternal attention.  White is the symbol of purity, represented by the little rabbit.

Looking closely, I noticed the silhouette of a mitt.  It seemed to cover Mary's hand as she held the rabbit.  The shadow mitten had been formed by the wings of a stained glass butterfly in the window. The butterfly represents new birth, so I welcomed the message to stay in the Light.  We are Children of Light.

The white rabbit in Titian's painting had crossed my path while skimming through The Virgin in Art from Medieval to Modern, by Kyra Belan at our local Family bookstore.

I looked up the symbolism for the rabbit.  "It brings the message to look for fertile signs, and use the lunar cycle.  If unsure, wait.  Answers will become clear within a month.  Then movement is assured." (Animal-Speak, Ted Andrews)

Enjoy your day with the Angels and stay open to their loving presence.

Golden Caterpillar: An Angel Message

Yesterday, glowing in the sunshine, this fuzzy fellow was busily munching away when I happened to notice him. Caterpillars were a childhood favorite.  On the farm, I often shepherded them through a maze of narrow wood strips I made from grandmother's wood pile.

This bright sunny one brought a fond smile, as it has been a long time since I've seen a furry caterpillar.  And, I'd just sat down on a favorite park bench in a sanctuary to enjoy the beautiful cool weather.

Later, I learned that caterpillar brings a message: "Good luck and new birth are at hand.  Take a gentle and quiet approach to endeavors.  Be realistic and shed the old."

Enjoy your day with the Angels.  Be on the lookout for messages that speak to your heart.  And, think on the bright side.

Love and joyful blessings,

When Pigs Fly... An Angel Message

Last weekend, what a surprise to catch sight of a BIG PINK WINGED ANGEL PIG. Even better, it was a mailbox!  I laughed, "Mama!"  Her playful energy charged the air.   Since she passed on four years ago, a winged pig has become an angel messenger for me.  This pink pig angel, posted in a nearby neighborhood,  embodied the joy I receive by both sending and receiving international postcards randomly selected at postcrossing.com  Pink is the color of love, and love makes the world go round.

I was thankful for the reminder.  Thoughts are things...and what I focus on  will wing its way back into my field of consciousness.  So think on the bright side.

Enjoy your day and look to be spontaneous, following any sudden angelic inspirations.

Joyful blessings,

Rae Karen

A Surprise Rider Ready to Go: An Angel Message

Sometimes when I need to surrender and relax, and let God take the wheel, a little nature messenger will make an unusual appearance to give me a clue.  That's what happened last week when Elliot and I stopped in a nearby wooded community to consider a relocation.  This little lizard hopped aboard our car and stayed there as we looked around at a possible house.  Lizard brings a message to pay attention to dreams.  To detach from problems and do what you must.

As it turned out, we discovered it was best to stay put in the dream for now.

Enjoy your day with the Angels.  Have fun paying attention to the birds and animals that come across your path.

Love and joyful blessings,

Then There Were Two! An Angel Message

Nature was speaking loudly when I opened the back door one day this week.  The wild buttercup plant growing out of a small crack in the stucco wall had brought home a message.  Not one, but two buttery blossoms were in full bloom in the morning sunlight!  She is branching out with new leaves and doubling her beauty, against all odds.  In the past, only a single bloom would grace the backdoor  intermittently.  So to my wondering eyes, she seems to be joyfully heralding in the promise of the autumn solstice.  A wonderful message that we, too, can each bloom wherever we are planted, just stay positive and keep reaching for the light.  Angelic help is here.
Buttercup's first appearance this spring.
Enjoy your day with the Angels.

A Call for Love: An Angel Message

With the cooler temperatures, Elliot and I decided to get out and about a bit today. I suggested a drive to the local orchid farm. I had landscaped the side yard and wanted something special.

Getting out of the car, we wandered across the grassy field to the donkey pen.  A beautiful female was standing in the shelter of an open shed.  Shy, she kept her distance, and then slowly made her way toward the fence.  I didn't try to take her picture. Although I didn't reach out to pet her, it felt as though we had a peaceful unspoken communion.  After saying good-bye, we were heading toward the nursery when a loud wailing donkey called out.  HEE-HAW he brayed from his pen on the other side of the property.

Recognizing a call for love, we hurried to greet him, too.  Seeing this young head strong lad, I  hesitated to reach out and pet him through the fence.  I wanted to, but was afraid.  When I admitted it, he seemed to try to help.  He stuck his nose through the gate rungs in front of me.

I still wasn't sure...

But he tried even harder...

I laughed as he raised his snout over the top railing to look me in the eye.  That did it!  How could I resist a face like this?

Slowly I reached out and found myself stroking his soft face, thankful for the lesson he was teaching me, not to be afraid to love.

Funny thing happened later.  When Elliot and I  tried to enter the orchid nursery, the door was locked. They are closed on Mondays! But this little burrow's heart was wide open to love. It was just what was needed most.

Donkey has to do with will, I later learned.  Hmmm...

Enjoy your day with the Angels.

Love and joyful blessings,

Rae Karen

Expressions of Light: An Angel Message

When you're not trying so hard to make things happen, in that relaxed field of consciousness, your attention is open.  An angel message can gently nudge, wake up and take notice.   That's what happened this morning.  My routine was interrupted as I gravitated toward my laptop first thing. Little did I know that the timing was in divine order.  After a web search, I happened to look up and turn around from the computer screen. To my delight, the early morning sunshine, filtering through the large picture window, had created a telling silhouette composite on the den wall behind me.

We all know that a picture is worth a thousand words, but this was a tender gift of heart.  I marveled at how the various objects on the windowsill had clearly come together to teach a lesson on the power of faith.  The large sheltering wings of the mighty eagle suspended from the den ceiling now had a column of "Light" that connected it to the silhouette of my hanging purple stained glass angel, a Christmas gift from my friend Joanna who passed on in July.  Joanna had two cats, and so the soapstone cat bookends ended up being part of that perfect expression.  And, the column of Light extended down to the earth plane, reminding me that we are all connected by eternal Love.

Years ago, when I purchased that mighty eagle it was with Psalm 91 in mind.  I'd been experiencing vision problems at the time and wanted the reminder to continually abide in the Shadow of the Almighty.  Eagle Eye.  Until today, I'd never seen the eagle's wings shadowed on the wall in the daylight. In the middle of the night, while reading by lamp, the shadowing wings had appeared on the ceiling, bringing comfort.

Synchronicity was in the work today.  The daily God Calling reading for September 18, had set the stage for the light filled illustrations to come.

God Calling, September 18:

Dwell There

He that dwelleth in the secret Place of the Most High
shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
                           Psalm 91

HIDDEN in a sure place, known only to God and you.  So secret that no power on earth can even find it.

But, My beloved children, you must dwell therein.  No fitful visit, a real abiding.  Make it your home.  Your dwelling place.

Over that home shall My Shadow rest, to make it doubly safe, doubly secret.  Like brooding mother-bird wings that Shadow rests.  How safe, how sure, you must feel there.

When fears assail you, and cares trouble you, when it is because you have ventured out of that protecting Shadow.  Then the one, the only thing to do is to creep back into shelter again.  So rest."

I am so thankful for the angel messages that come to light to be shared.

After I finished writing the blog, I turned around again.  The scene had changed.  The wall was blank. The sun had shifted.  But I got it.  To keep on abiding in the protecting Shadow and give thanks for He has given His angels charge over you.

Enjoy your day with the Angels.

Love and joyful blessings,

Rae Karen

Rainbow Swirls: An Angel Message

While sitting on the sofa relaxing after lunch today, my thoughts began to drift toward unresolved issues.  That's when I happened to look across the room.  To my surprise, the crystal orb  in the dining room window had splashed little rainbow swirls onto the curtains.

I recognized the visual gift as proof to keep on seeing each person as a refraction of pure light, creating little rainbows of God's promise.

Enjoy your day with the Angels.  By the way, the cute little tree frogs were at the window the past two nights.  They don't stay long, but their gentle appearance helps me to remember to fully rely on God.  All is well.

Joyful blessings,

You Are Unlimited: An Angel Message

Early this morning as I went to turn on the dining room light, there was a loud clatter.  This little cloisonne turtle had come crashing down from the wrought iron shelf.  It's metal tail nipped my ankle, waking me up with an ouch.  Years ago, I had tucked a teabag message inside the turtle's pop up shell.

You are unlimited.
Teabag tag from years ago
Startled, I picked the tag up off the dining room floor.

"You are unlimited,"  I smiled, reading the comforting words on the long forgotten tea stained tag.  The turtle was no worse from the fall.  All of the tiny rhinestones were still glittering on the rim of his heavy thick shell.

The clatter of the fallen turtle, and the fluttering hidden message did seem to be deliberate.  I love how angel thoughts get through to us in surprising ways just when needed the most.

"You are unlimited."

Enjoy your day with the Angels.

A Faithful Messenger at the Backdoor: An Angel Message

Morning Bloom on 9/10/18
Sometimes you can search high and low for something, not find it, and give up, only to discover that one day it has mysteriously appeared on your doorstep.  That's what happened with buttercups. One year, I'd planted some in the front yard and they excelled, becoming large and bushy.  The next year, I wanted to grow more, but the garden centers didn't carry them.  I let it go.

Then this spring, a magnificent wild buttercup plant, seeded by the wind, showed up in a crack in the stucco wall at our backdoor stoop!   Over the summer, our determined buttercup has doubled in height. Not that it blooms everyday, but after a good rain usually one hearty blossom greets me with a good morning smile at the door.  It's hard to begin your day with anything less than optimistic when you catch a glimpse of such buttery exuberance. Yellow is the color of faith.

And I love its hopeful message.  No matter how difficult our environment may be, we, too, can bloom exactly where we're planted.  Everything we need is within.  Just keep stretching and growing toward the light.  Do your best day by day.  One bloom at a time.

Waiting at the Mailbox: An Angel Message

Lizard hiding in mailbox on 9/9/18

This mailbox located in a parking lot not far from home is a favorite because of the early morning  pickup. Sunday afternoon, when we pulled up to mail some postcards, a visitor was waiting. A little tan lizard was on the ledge of the incoming mail chute.  I wasn't sure what it meant.  I didn't want to plunk my postcards in the box and risk that he may take a fearful leap and spend the night inside the blue tank.  When I tried to take his photo, he hid. Camera shy, he crawled inside to the right with only his tail sticking up in sight.   (If you look closely, you may see it above the letter T in COLLECTION.  With that swift move, I had space to carefully mail each card.  I realized too he would be able to climb out the same way he got in.  The chute is always open.

I was thankful for another special angel message delivered by nature.  Kind of amusing that it came in a most official way, the U.S. mail box.  At home, I looked up the symbolism:  Lizard indicates a need to pay attention to dreams and psychic impressions.  Do not be afraid to detach from problems. Do what you must.

Have a joyful day with the Angels.  Watch for signs and symbols along the way.

Love and blessings,

Rae Karen

Tree Frog Draws High Again: An Angel Message

It must seem as though cute little tree frogs constantly hang out at our house.  But if the truth be known, they seldom appear, and when they do, it's always on purpose -- a message to fully rely on God. My heart softens and becomes soppy like a wet washcloth that needs to be wrung out.

Recently, I read about pets drawing nearer when we begin meditation.  I remember our feisty cat, Angel, would settle down in my lap whenever I began to meditate.  Maybe you've had the same experience.

Last night, while reading a metaphysical book on the sofa, I heard more activity at the window.  Curious, I took a look, with frogs in mind.  This bright-eyed visitor was peeking in the living room, enjoying the light.  Everything has a vibrational frequency...  I wondered if that's why he took a leap to the outer window ledge.  In looking back, other tree frog visits had happened while reading something spiritual or completing a meditation.

"All things work together for good except in the ego's judgment", is the weekly Miracles verse.  And, that's a perfect fit for F.R.O.G.  (Fully Rely On God).

Enjoy your day with the Angels.

Joyful blessings,

An A-Okay from a Tree Frog: An Angel Message

On Thursday evening, Elliot and I had just finished meditating when there was a strange WHOOMP sound at the living room window.  A tree frog had landed on the high outer windowsill!  The angels of laughter must have been having some fun.  As I got up to investigate, the little fellow appeared to be giving the A-Okay sign!  Laughing, I was thankful for the message not to worry, keep Fully Relying On God.  (acronym for FROG)

So whatever issues are showing up in your life, take a message from frog that all is "A-Okay" and keep your thoughts in the light.

Enjoy your day with the Angels.

Sunlit Web: An Angel Message

To my surprise this morning, when the sunlight hit just the right angle, a beautiful spider web appeared like a sparkling CD.  The creation was so high up that I'd completely missed it earlier as I walked along the garden path.  It wasn't until later, while sitting on the patio, I caught sight of the orb glistening in the sunlight, suspended from a tall camphor tree.

The industrious web of light was too far up for a good picture, but the lovely full circle serves as a timely reminder. We're each intertwined by one single thread of creativity woven in time and space.  What effects one, effects all.  Our individual thoughts and actions have consequences for the whole.  So why not create loving-kindness and peace.  Take the upper way.

Enjoy your day with the angels.

Love and joyful blessings,

Getting Closer to Nature: An Angel Message

Tuesday evening, Elliot and I took a drive to the local lake to enjoy the cool air in nature.  With our foldout chairs parked between two cypress trees, we sat at the water's edge, ready for the show. The fountain was flowing, making concentric circles in the lake. A turtle popped up out of the water, paddling by in the rippled pond.  Before long, he joined up with another turtle for a swim.

Ducklings at Earl Brown Lake 9/4/18
To our delight, a mama duck showed up on the grass.  Her cute little ducklings waddled along behind her in single file. A little yellow fuzzy baby had lagged behind.  Now, his frantic chirp was like a shrill whistle as he ran to catch up. Soon, the adorable family had set sail, in tandem, paddling to the far side of the lake.  It was amusing to watch.  Mama led her crew by a chain link fence out in the water.  The little ducklings had no problem with this man-made barrier.  They simply swam through the wide chain links.  And, big mama swam around it to join them.

In the midst of all the fun-filled activity, a loud flapping of wings startled me.  A rather large bird had landed in the cypress tree above us.  I thought it was an odd duck out of water.  Curious, I got up to take a look.

A cormorant had perched on one of the branches, wings spread open,  drying off  after a swim in the lake.  Knowing cormorants are experts at deep diving, I found his behavior strange.  It's not unusual to find these waterfowl drying out on the shore or a fence or a barricade.

Although, one up a tree was a new move.  I quietly tried to take a pic, but he was shrouded in the leafy branches. And, I wasn't guided to come around the tree to get a closeup of him preening.

The cormorant's deliberate actions seemed like an angel message. At home, I learned: "Dive deeper for answers and solutions.  Trust in your methods.  You will accomplish things now in unique ways what others cannot." (Animal Speak Pocket Guide)

Hmmm...Not sure how this applies, but I do know time spent in nature soothes the nerves and clears any congestion in our energy fields.  Nature is a tranquil healer. It's good to break away from media and just be still.

Oh, and I just learned that duck represents emotions soothed.  "Stay in a comfortable environment.  Difficulties will be handled easily."  How perfect...

That's how the duck family illustrated that joyful lesson.

Enjoy your day with the angels.

Love and joyful blessings,

Rae Karen

Sea Turtle Messenger: An Angel Message

With my latest correspondence hobby, as a member of postcrossing.com, anything with the word postcard catches my eye.  Today after stopping by the post office for postcard stamps, I ran into the discount store next door to buy stickers to decorate the cards.

While shopping, I learned that postcards can be delivered in unofficial ways!  This shiny canvass of a golden blue sea turtle paddling underwater was mine when I noticed the postcard marking.  One of a kind, and a real bargain at $3.50, in gratitude, I brought the seafaring messenger home.

Curious,  I learned from Animal-Speak Pocket Guide, that when sea turtle comes into your life:  "Persevere and great success will come.  Senses are heightened so trust in your pursuits.  The worst is over; continue forward."

A wonderful angel message for you, too, if you happen to be reading this now.

Enjoy your day with the angels.  Expect to receive messages to give you love, peace, comfort, and joyful direction.

Floral Halo: An Angel Message

My reticular activating system (RAS) must be working overtime because yet another giraffe appeared unexpectedly on my path on Sunday.  An angel reminder to be fed on high, she's posted above the Psalm 91 artwork in the kitchen. A giraffe's legs are so tall their necks can't reach the ground.  As shared in previous blogs, giraffe brings a sign of farsightedness.
Change is a coming... so why not welcome it with open arms, expecting the best, crowned in a halo of pretty flowers.

Enjoy your day with the angels.

Love and joyful blessings,

Behind the Curtain: An Angel Message

When you wake up in the morning and expect the happy things of God to come to you today, that joyful attitude will bring fresh insight.

To follow the recent trail of giraffe  synchronicity, on Friday, we stopped by the Habitat for Humanity.  While browsing through the store, an angel nudge prompted,  Look for a giraffe for your office.  A reminder to stay open to change.  I found many interesting bargains, but it wasn't until I'd given up on a giraffe that one crossed my path.  A child's wooden toy stuck its long painted neck out of a box of mementos on a bookcase. With a grateful smile, I grabbed the colorful giraffe on the way to the cashier.

At home, I placed the wide-eye symbol on the windowsill in plain sight by my desk.

On Saturday morning, what a surprise.  When I went to the den, the white love-seat was highlighted with a silhouette of the giraffe and an angel. I laughed at how perfect the placement had been with no particular thought from me.

Silhouette on Loveseat
For fun, today, I deliberately took a photo of the sun spotlighting that closed yellow curtain, directly across from the loveseat.

Closed Curtain Putting on A Show in the Sunlight
What a show.  The angel and the giraffe standing side by side in the light. I welcomed the message:   The veil is getting thinner... The Light has come.

Enjoy your day with the angels.  Expect good things.  God loves you.

Joyful blessings,

Raccoon Crossing: An Angel Message

Yesterday an angel messenger crossed our path on the way home from Habitat for Humanity.  Driving down West New York Avenue, an unusual animal happened to be making a dash across the normally busy road. From a distance, it looked like an armadillo.  But, coming closer, a masked face and striped tail confirmed it was a raccoon.  Since these fascinating creatures are nocturnal,  it seemed to be a deliberate messenger in broad daylight, as it scurried down a path into the woods.
My random daily angel card was Transformation, so I shouldn't have been surprised to learn that the raccoon holds knowledge of transformation through masks and other disguises.  Some questions to ask:  "Do you need to present a different face to people for greater success?  Are you hiding your true self?  Are others hiding their true self?"

In Animal-Speak, when a raccoon appears, you may see its influence for an extended period of time.  If you're trying to make changes or endeavoring to hide changes you're making from others until you are in a better position, plan on a 20-week cycle.

My random angel card for today was Transformation, two days in a row.

Enjoy your day with the angels.  The angels are encouraging each of us to be our true self and let our light shine.

Turn Your Face Toward the Light: An Angel Message

I didn't think there would be an angel blog for today.  But when I looked up after our morning meditation, this lone sunflower on the dining room table seemed to smile otherwise.  Energetic and bright, I noticed how it was deliberating aiming to reach the light.

That's the beauty of a sunflower.  It constantly turns its smiling face toward the sun, a behavior called phototropism.  It faces west at sunset, and swings around to the east at sunrise, greeting the morning light.  The golden petals of this dynamic flower bring a heartwarming message to be on the lookout for upcoming opportunities of happiness and health.  Stay focused on the light.  All is well.

Enjoy your day with the angels.

Eyes at the Window: An Angel Message

Elliot called me to the kitchen last night.  While washing the dishes at the kitchen sink, he happened to look up.  A bulging pair of eyes was staring at him through the glass windowpane.  Knowing frog is the acronym for Fully Rely On God, I hurried to take a look at the little fellow.

Sure enough, he was still there, clinging to the glass, gills steadily puffing in and out.  The lamp on the windowsill was attracting bugs to the light, and this cute little treefrog was just where he needed to be to get a good meal. Funny that his two fingers were giving the "Peace" sign. After greeting him, I returned to the living room, happy to receive another message from the angels to FROG it.  Fully Rely On God.

Before turning in for the night, I checked the kitchen window again.  What a surprise...another tree frog had appeared at the window. Much bigger than the first.   Two frogs!  Double FROG power.

So whatever you may be facing today, remember to Fully Rely On God.  He loves you.  Be at peace.  All is well.

Enjoy your day with the angels.

Love and joyful blessings,

Rae Karen

An Angel at the Door: Be An Angel Day 2018

Be An Angel Day on August 22, turned out to be full of angelic surprises, with opportunities for sharing and extending love to neighbors.  The actions were spontaneous and fun, not to mention healing.  In the late afternoon, while on our way to a meeting in town, plans suddenly changed when I felt a need to return home to use the bathroom.  Elliot pulled the car in the driveway and stopped near the back door so I could make a mad dash inside.

Afterwards, we decided to skip the meeting and spend a quiet evening at  home.

While having dinner, I happened to look up.  I was startled to see an angel silhouette glowing in a sparkling patch of sunlight over the living room door!   Joyful, like a kid at Christmas, I got up from the dinner table to take a photo.  Nothing like this had ever appeared at our living door.  The timing was pretty amazing, and gave me peace that all things work together for good.

We welcomed the Be An Angel Day messenger at the doorway!  Puzzled by the unusual emanation,  I wondered how it happened.  The angels in the window by the door had the wrong profile.  Elliot told me to touch the  Amazing Grace angel in the window across the room. The silhouette disappeared.

Elliot figured out the  sun's bright reflection off our white car in the drive had lit up that particular high window and the silhouette of our sweet little Amazing Grace angel was posed at just the right angle.  She appeared as an angel at the front door.

Amazing Grace Angel
That whole experience was such an unexpected, uplifting gift.  Angels are real, and the more we honor their presence as a gift from the Creator, the more love, joy, and peace will be made evident, no matter what our circumstances may be.  Angels deliver, with the grace of God. We are never left alone and comfortless.

Love and joyful blessings,

Where there's a will, there's a way: An Angel Message

Last night while watching a movie, a sudden thunderclap shook the foundation of our 1927 bungalow.  Lightning bolts struck the dusky sky, a storm was rolling in.  Another thunderclap was so LOUD,  I jumped up from the sofa, blurting out, HAIL MARY, FULL OF GRACE!  (I'm not Catholic, but that's my auto response when in danger.) I knew then it was time to calm down, turn off the TV, and meditate on the power of Psalm 91.  "For He shall give his angels charge over you."  That's the way I find peace in the midst of a storm.  By going within and accepting those comforting words of that entire Psalm, which I've come to know as my insurance/assurance plan.  I pray it everyday.  God is my refuge. I abide in the Shadow of the Almighty.

Soon the skies were harmonious again.

This morning, when I opened the backdoor to feed Gus, the wild buttercup nature rooted in a crack in the stucco wall greeted me in full sunny bloom.  A marvel as each day she stretches, growing taller.  A testimony that where there is a will, there is a way. Buttercup thrives in spite of her limiting condition.   In Nature-Speak, Ted Andrews writes:

"As a garden flower the buttercup is unique in that it will grow in every part of the garden.  This is part of its message.  With proper self-worth, we can succeed in every environment."

Buttercup is a reminder of self-worth and how words can affect all things. So choose words carefully for they will have greater influence now.

Enjoy your day with the Angels.  Expect joyful, uplifting messages along the way.  God is Love.

Smiles Around the World: An Angel Message

Last fall, I discovered a wonderful way to see the world from my mailbox.  Postcrossing.com was just the ticket I was looking for.   Nine months later, my den door has been slowly transformed into a portal of international snail mail greetings from both near and far.  Maps from old National Geographic magazines added a worldly touch.  Rope, with postcards hung from wooden clothespins, framed the second door, giving my space the lure of a travel agency.

For fun, I asked postcrossers to share a favorite quote:

Cinthya from Indonesia:

"Not all of us can do great things.  But we can
do small things with great love."  Mother Teresa

Martina from Germany:

"You have to share your happiness to
multiply it!"

Elaine from the Philippines:

"STAY CURIOUS."

Gerry from The Netherlands:

"Yesterday is history.
Tomorrow is a mystery.
Today is a gift
that's why it's called the present."

Tanja from Slovenija:

"Where there's a will, there's a way."

Yuki from Japan:

"Don't cry because it's over.
Smile because it happened."
                               Dr. Seuss

Catherine from France:

"One sees clearly only with
the heart. What is essential is
invisible to the eye."
                        Antoine de Saint Exup`ery

Brad in the U.S.:

"Thinking is the best way to travel."
                        Moody Blues

Izan from Hong Kong:

"If it doesn't challenge you, it won't
change you."

Dima from Czech Republic:

"Life is either a daring adventure or
nothing at all."

Hanley from the Netherlands:

"There is a crack in everything
that's how the light gets in."
                  Leonard Cohen

Zuzka from Czech Republic:

"You are never given a dream without
also being given the power to make it
true."    Richard Bach

Polina from Russia:

"I belong to quick, futile moments
of intense feeling.  Yes, I belong to
moments.  Not to people."
                      Virginia Woolf

Sondur from India:

"All the problems are stuck between
MIND and MATTER.  If you don't
mind. It does not matter."

Ieva from Lithuania:

"Everything passes.  Everything changes.
Just do what you think you should do."
              Bob Dylan song to Ramona

from China:

"Thick mountains could not
stop the river from flowing
into the sea."
          Ancient Chinese poetry

Annie from France:

"All the world is made of faith,
and trust, and pixie dust."
                           J. M. Barrie

 Christoph from Germany:

"We are angels with only one wing.  To be able
to fly we have to hug each other."

I look forward to the mail now, wondering what adventure will arrive from a new friend.  The 100th Anniversary of the Postcard, 1893-1993 recently crossed my path.  A reminder that's it never too late to giddy-up and send smiles around the world.

Enjoy your day with the Angels.

Love and joyful blessings,

Driving under the Influence: An Angel Message

This Virginia license plate brought a sheepish smile.  A reminder to keep our halos on while navigating in traffic. Drive under the influence of angels. Archangel Raphael is the Guardian of Travel, so don't leave home without him.

Enjoy your day with the Angels.

Love and joyful blessings,
