Angels Have Wings to Carry Our Prayers

A friend invited me on a trip to a garden center in a nearby town.  Not only filled with exotic plants and flowers, the garden accessories were a treat.  This angel  wing statue was heaven sent: "Angels have wings to carry our prayers."

Prayers are a powerful way to connect with God. Whenever I feel worry coming on, I try to remember to stop and pray. I think of all the ways God has come through in previous challenges. This review leaves me feeling stronger and not so alone. "He has given his angels charge over me."

I fondly recall an angel assignment years ago.  While our Honda was going through the car wash, Elliot and I ran next door to McDonald's. On the way, I found a penny in the parking lot.  A sign the angels are near.  Everything is in divine order.

That morning on our way out, I grabbed my box of angel scrolls. Grace, Peace, Love, Joy, Abundance, Healing, etc.  Each one rolled with a prayer for the right person, at the right time, at the right place.

Inside the Golden Arches, I grabbed a table while Elliot got in line.  A woman came in alone and sat down at the table beside me.

The angels nudged me to offer her an angel scroll from the box I carry in my purse.  Each tiny scroll is rolled up and tied in a curly ribbon.

When she stared at the little scrolls tied in assorted colors, she hesitated.

I wondered if my guidance had been off.  But I went on to explain it was her angel message for the day. That brought a smile, and as she picked one, she told me that she loved the Lord.

Then she began to softly weep. Her husband of 55 years had passed away last year.  They had been together since their teens. At first, she had no idea what to do without him, she was so lonely.  Prayer and Bible study had helped her heal.

Then, she smiled, "God's Hand had recently guided her to a new home."  Her face softened, "Looking back, I could see how God had unfolded all of the events leading up to my husband's peaceful transition."  He had the last available room at a beautiful nearby hospice.  (The same heavenly place my own Mom made her transition.)

My new friend opened up her little scroll. "The Angel of Clarity," she smiled.  "This is about my recent move and getting settled in."

"You know, I almost called my girl friend to meet me here for breakfast. I'm so lonesome, but God had that covered. He sent you."

So while her little dog, Rejoice, was getting groomed nearby, and our car was being washed, the angels were taking care of heavenly business at The Golden Arches.  I love it.

Enjoy your day with the Angels and follow their loving guidance.

Love and joyful blessings,

Rae Karen
