Trash or Treasure? An Angel Mesage

Time spent in nature is always well worth it, especially when trying to create a little corner of beauty in our world.  Little surprises may naturally pop up when least expected.  Yesterday was no exception.

While working in the yard, I found a rotted chunk of wood.  Just as I was about to trash it, I caught a glimpse of the flip side. What a surprise to see I was holding a profile of a sandhill crane in such detail--an eye and that sharp pointed beak.  Even more amazing, it was by the large hole in the pasture fence. A well-trodden path where many generations of  sandhill crane families come and go on foot until their young ones can grow wings, and the whole family can take flight together.  The old chunk of wood, a remnant from a flowerbed, had been transformed over time into a natural artifact carved by nature.  I loved the gift.  With patience and perseverance, these long-legged, stately birds have been around for eons, a remnant of prehistoric times. Intense amber-orange glowing eyes, long sharp beak, a red heart-shaped mask, sandhill cranes are high flyers and announce their presence with loud calls.  Thus, they are considered noble guardians, calling out to forewarn.

I was thankful for the angel lesson--don't be so quick to judge.  There is always a higher view. And, just like the large hole in the pasture fence, a comforting reminder that when things seems limited with no way out, Love will make a way.  Keep having faith.

Love and peace,

Rae Karen
